Vehicle Detail
Rare 1984 Mustang SVONo ReserveRuns and Drives 1 of 1,023 painted Dark Charcoal Metallic67,000 original miles This car is all original except the Hurst shifterand aluminum radiator with dual cooling fansnew gas tank and new fuel pumpNew plugs and wiresRecent oil changeCar shifts smooth like butterI'm cutting back on my collection and hoping to find a good home for my SVO. I purchased this car from New Jersey last year and had it shipped to Phoenix, AZI was told the car spent most of it's life in PennsylvaniaDespite spending time in PA and NJ it seems be rust free in the body and underneathI have found rust in the hood. One spot is obvious just above the passenger side headlight. There are a couple very small spots underneath the hood.I can provide more detailed pics of certain areas but there is no other rust on the car.The seats are very soft and it's a blast to driveI still have the title open from NJ, but can obtain an Arizona title if preferred. I never registered the car and had no need to transfer the title. Whoever switches the title will be the 3rd owner technically. The only bad thing is the steering has a little extra play in it. A part called the steering knuckle is the culprit and I will have it repaired for the winning bidder unless you prefer to have it fixed yourself. This is a amazing all original SVO in a hard to find color. Please be aware that this car is in Phoenix, AZ. The buyer is responsible for shipping. I welcome anyone in the area to come and test drive it. Please do not bid unless you have the money to pay for the car and can afford shipping. Payment is due 3 full days after the auction ends. I prefer the money to be taken to any Wells Fargo and deposited directly into my account. Please contact me if you need to make other arrangements. I WILL NOT accept any personal or cashier checks. If you have questions please call me at 602 710-3419 or message me through eBay.. Don't be that guy that waits to ask questions after you won the auction and then backs out. No one likes that guy.Good luck and happy bidding! On Mar-02-17 at 00:24:52 PST, seller added the following information: Update!!! I have had many messages asking to see the underneath of the SVO. Due to my work schedule this week, I will not be able to post pictures underneath until Saturday. More detailed pictures will be posted before the auction ends this Tuesday. Also the car still has the original adjustable Koni suspension. For those who don't know what an SVO is, this is was the most expensive Mustang you could buy in 1984. The SVO was built by Ford's Special Vehicle Operations which later became known as SVT. Less than 10,000 SVO's were built between 1984-1986. Please research this car before asking me if it has a 5.0 V8. The SVO 2.3L Turbo was faster than the 5.0 in the 80's. There is a reason most of the SVO's you see on eBay are all going for over $9,000. Now, I also want to stress my SVO is not a show car. It has a few scrapes, minor dings, and the rust in the hood that I mentioned earlier but it is all complete and runs great. I can also provide a video of it running and driving for anyone interested. Also, this is a real NO RESERVE auction, and I will not be pulling the auction for any reason at all. The highest bidder takes it home. I will be taking a video of the SVO running so if you want to see that please message me directly with your phone number or email and I'm happy to send it over on Saturday. I can answer any questions before the auction over eBay message or by phone at 602 710-3419. Please understand it's a big hassle and costly for me to keep relisting because bidders don't ask questions or look into shipping costs before they bid. If you are in Phoenix, I'm happy to show you the SVO in person before the auction ends.On Mar-06-17 at 04:00:07 PST, seller added the following information: LATEST UPDATE 3/6/17:I have uploaded additional pics of any cosmetic imperfections. Please scroll through all the photos to see the new ones that have been added. After closer inspection I did discover rust in both doors near the bottom of the door panel. No rust in the exterior side of the door. Still no rust found in rear quarters, trunk, or underneath the car. However, I did find surface rust in some spots under the car but no signs of salt rust. Underneath is still very solid and I have tons of pictures that eBay will not allow me room to post so if you want to see the underside or additional photos and videos I have taken, please message me on eBay for them. I also included a pic of a dent on the top part of the hatch, and although they do not show up in the pic, I did find light knicks in the roof from possible hail damage but they are only in the roof and don't show up well on camera. Most importantly, I want to stress this is not my daily driver so please do not expect a perfect SVO. I did replace the spark plugs and wires today but the car still feels rough in idle. I took it on a two hour drive to test it out and on the freeway for about 5 miles yesterday. I took a video that shows everytime I start the car, black smoke comes out briefly and only appears when I start the car. It may be carbon buildup in the exhaust but I'm not sure. I do believe the timing may need to be adjusted and will have a shop redo the timing once the auction is over. The car is running better after the tuneup and the engine doesn't smoke or knock while it's driving but I still want to be clear this car may need work. I also heard what sounds like a light valve rattle but that may also be from sitting or bad timing. I encourage serious bidders to listen to the video to see that they are no major issues. Also I want to remind bidders, that after today I will be unavailable on the tuesday to answer questions so please ask today. In fact I will be out of town and away from my eBay account until Thursday. Message me on eBay, call or text. I'm happy to answer your questions. 602 710-3419
