just a great car, only flaws are that is has about 4 or 5 small chips in the paint on the lower quarters, other then that, it is obvious that this was a professional paint job and the car was disassembled for the paint job, fender welts and all running board rubber was replaced at that time, all windows were removed before painting and all rubber seals were replaced and window channels too, the glass was all replaced with modern tinted safety glass, the entire interior was professionally done and looks better then new ,,there is now bondo or rust on the car, the bottom underside of the car is as nice as the top and shows no rust, the wiring was all replaced, the dash was restored, every part under the hood was replaced or restored, the flathead v8 was rebuilt at that time and the trans was rebuilt also...i recently put a new fuel pump and new battery and fresh gas and it fired right up and drove it right out of the garage after sitting for about 10 years...the only recommendation i can give is to flush out all the fluids just because of sitting, the tires are old and hard, no cracking, no leaking or signs of wear, just old, so i would replace them....it would just be wise to go over the basics before driving it any distance. i have taken it on a short test drives around the area and the engine and trans are smooth, brakes work well. all lights work, charging system works fine. exhaust is in excellent condition, even the trunk was carpets .heater motor kicks on too. interior light and radio are not operating but have not investigated those issues....chrome is in excellent condition with no rust or pits, all trim is present and good condition with only minor dings on a few places but they are very faint..it's obvious that this car had over $20,000 spent on it's restoration and is one of the best 48 fords i have seen in a long time. it is a 2 door sedan model with the full size back seat. transportation is the responsibility of the buyer, the title is free and clear and is a delaware title, there is a key for ignition but no key for the doors or trunk but any good locksmith can fabricate a key without removing the locks, which all appear to be in good condition. payment must clear before the vehicle leaves here unless paid in cash which is always accepted. the car can be seen in northeast phila pa 19111, photos of any specific area can be sent to you , just ask. if you have questions, feel free to call me at 215-713-8913. i am not interested in trades at all and a deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours or the car will be immediately offered to the next bidder and final payment is due within 7 days at then end of the auction. Deposit is not refundable so, please, "DO NOT BID" unless you are serious about buying this car because this is a "NO RESERVE" auction and will be sold to the highest bidder. The bidding is starting at a low $10,000 and will be sold without a reserve. again, don't wait till after the auction to ask questions, ask now. I am not dealing with foreign bidders at all.
