1982 Toyota COROLLA TERCEL with 95608 original miles! This car is a survivor, not many of these dual-badged cars left. Description I bought this car a couple of years ago from a co-worker who was retiring. The reasons I bought it was because the body was in such good condition for the age, had a unique style and having both Corolla and Tercel for model name. It has spent most of its life in rural southern Kansas where salt is not used on roads. I have known most of the previous owners because they were all co-workers of mine. EngineInline 4 cylinder 3A-C engine is mounted longitudinally and is original runs good and will start up on the coldest of days. It uses little if any oil. Spark plugs, wires and battery newer. New fuel pump. Air conditioning blows cold. Transmission 3-speed Automatic Transmission shift smooth in all gears including reverse. Suspension Front shocks are bad and need replaced. Shock-mounts inside of engine bay are rust free. When it gets around 40mph there is some vibration and noise. Body One of the previous owners put a poor paint job on that is now peeling off in places. Front windshield is cracked. There are dents on top and a few on sides/back. There is some surface rust and bubbling around wheel wells but no holes. The metal is solid even where rust is and no body filler. Rockers are amazingly solid considering the age of this Toyota. Passenger taillight lens cracked. InteriorTop of dash has small cracks on top. Needs new headliner. Door panels are in good shape. Front seats have tears in vinyl and have seat covers. Back seats have some cracking towards top. Carpet is original and in decent shape. Original floor mats. I have some receipts from over the years and the car will come with original owners manual and a Haynes Repair Guide.Buyer responsible for shipping or pickup. Stored inside. On Feb-07-17 at 14:19:23 PST, seller added the following information: It has been pointed out to me that this engine DOES have a timing belt, not a timing chain. I'm not a car guy but consulted the owners manual which had no info on a timing belt. The Haynes guide mention timing chain, not a belt. Either way I have no info or receipts on timing belt being changed so consider it old and needing to be replaced.ThanksOn Feb-11-17 at 18:43:45 PST, seller added the following information: On February 11th I took car out for a drive because hadn't driven for a while and after a few miles down road front brakes started locking up. I stopped and waited for a while then was able to make back home without them locking up. Later on I drove around my driveway and they didn't lock up. So before bid please be aware that front brakes are bad and will need replaced. I just want to be as forthright as possible. Thanks.
