This is a Midwestern car, restoration was very nicely done. Quarter panels and right front fender were replaced to avoid any rust. Remainder opf the body is original including the doors. Underside was coated with rubberized undercoat when repainted. Paint looks great for a black car, wet and deep, with only a few minor imperfections. Red interior vinyl, door panels, seats and dash pad have been replaced. The handles, horn ring and rest of interior chrome trim are mostly original. All the lights, gauges, radio, etc work, except the horn, which does not work. It has the correct period red seat belts and new carpets. The manual top was replaced and is in excellent condition. Bumpers and guards were rechromed, otherwise all the chrome is original. New US Royal tires are correct size and are period whitewalls. Deluxe hubcaps with center spinners. Gas tank was replaced, all brake linings, wheel cylinders, and steel lines were replaced including the master cylinder. Shock absorbers are new. The engine is the small 140hp yellow head motor (early 64/65, generator motor, completely rebuilt. Its quiet and sooth and gets 20 to 25 mpg. The 3 speed transmission is also rebuilt, new clutch pressure plates and t/o bearing and the drive shaft U joints were replaced. Battery is 3 years old. The front suspension and steering are tight and original, has new ball joints. The exhaust has been replaced from front to back including muffler. The car has 85,000 original miles. I have driven car hardly at all, and it is pristine post restoration. The car did develop the brake light short, originating I believe from the brake pedal during my ownership, and needs to be fixed. This and the horn not functioning are the only 2 problems to the car to my knowledge.Car is available for inspection or test drive and is located in coastal South Carolina.
