Vehicle Detail

SPECS: Air-cooled engine Manual, 4 speed transmission Mileage: about 112.5 K Last oil change: Feb. 2016 Pros: Heater: works Stove: works; runs on propane.. Power-steering, brakes: work Lights, radio, cd player: work Sink/water system: works Horn: works Tires: Great. bought them over the summer, then blew a head gasket, so they’ve barely seen any road time. Beds: clean and intact Popup: no rust or problems Cons: Engine: needs repair- possibly replacement. Engine blew a head gasket a few months back. Van will not start. Air Conditioning: turns on but may need coolant. Body: Some scratches. There’s a dent on the back left side but it’s nothing major, you can see it in the pictures. Fridge: Gone- they don’t usually work well in the 1982 or older models. I put this under "the bad" because some people like buying things as they are produced in the factory, but do a little research on this and you’ll find a lot of people have had success installing their own fridge and running it on solar energy at a lower energy cost. Mirrors: Missing a side rear view mirror: replacement cost about $20 There’s a couple other wear and tears that come to mind- the mosquito net has a two inch tear near the zipper. Easily resown, I just never worried about it because the outer flap of the pop-top covers that part preventing mosquitos from getting in. One of the interior rubber linings to the sliding door came unglued 6 months ago. This time, I never worried about it because it has no real function other than the aesthetic. **I’ve installed solar panels on the roof, 300 watts worth of Renogy Brand Panels. I bought some of the equipment for getting the rig set up for solar but ran out of funds. I’d have to recheck to be sure(it’s been about a year since I spent any time thinking about this), but with some batteries and wiring ( ballpark $300) the van should be capable of running a light, computer, and even a small fridge by the power of the sun. If solar energy is not of interest to you I can remove the panels and reseal the attachment spots and knock about $600 off the price (cost of installation and equipment) Replacement engines for these vans can cost anywhere from $500 to $2,500 depending on what engine you choose and who you go to. I’ve put over $18,000 dollars into this, but lowest I will take is $6000. Please only contact me if serious about purchasing this. Let me know if you have questions in regard to this van. 6627150361 Robert Lucas
