Vehicle Detail

Stored since 1993. It was undergoing a full restoration when the previous owner passed away. Original AGA blue. Interior is all original including steering wheel and factory Blaupunkt Frankfurt stereo. It will need a new headliner. You will have to go through everything because it has been in storage, but its a great start for a 901 bodied SWB Porsche. Just needs finishing. New parts included with sale – 2 front brake discs, 930 style tie rod set, 2 rear CV joint half shafts, 2 chrome front horn grills, 2 headlight lenses, 2 front turn signal lenses, 2 rear turn signal/brake lenses, headliner. Used parts included with sale- engine case and third piece #754270, transmission (901), 2 Zenith NDIX DVG German carburetors. Currently registered and titled in California with plates and valid tags to Sep 2017. Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. There are a few small bubbles on the lower driver's door and driver's side roof and rear window pillar have a few pressure dings/dents from storage (they don't show up well in photos). Paint looks good from 10+ feet but isn't perfect due to storage. Would benefit from wet-sanding and/or buffing, or a respray back to factory Aga blue. My other Porsche is a 1966 912 with a 2.6 liter 914 type IV engine that is a blast to drive. It will out handle and perform any similar year 911. This car would be an excellent candidate for a similar type IV motor, or rebuild the original motor and keep her stock.I can assist with domestic or international shipping at the buyer's expense. On Jan-26-17 at 16:34:58 PST, seller added the following information: I'm adding pictures of examples of Porsche 914 and/or VW bus type IV engines in a Porsche 912. The vintage looking motor is also a type IV engine built to look vintage for installation in a 912. All of these engines slip right into a stock 912 engine bay and they bolt straight up to a stock 912 transmission, clutch, starter, with a stock 914 flywheel. Very easy conversion. Zero modification to the 912 needed. Only need a simple custom rear hanger bar which costs about $100 to weld up out of 1' x 1' box steel. You can store the stock motor, get greatly increased performance for far less money with a type IV in a 912. None of these motors are included in the sale. Just examples. The 911 style motor is a 2.6 liter 914 engine I had built and installed in my 1966 912. Store the stock numbers matching 912 case and install a powerful & cheap type IV motor. Technically still an air-cooled Porsche 4 cyl motor. In my '66 912 I can switch back and forth between my stock motor and my 914 motor in less than 2 hours... best of both worlds. THESE MOTORS ARE FOR EXAMPLE ONLY AND ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE. SALE ONLY INCLUDED NUMBERS MATCHING STOCK ENGINE CASE, 901 TRANSMISSION, AND TWO GERMAN ZENITH CARBS. On Jan-26-17 at 16:43:54 PST, seller added the following information: THIS CAR IS A ROLLER. THE ENGINE IS NOT CURRENTLY INSTALLED. STOCK ENGINE CASE AND SOME ENGINE PARTS INCLUDED (READ DESCRIPTION). PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD. PHOTOS OF COMPLETE MOTORS ARE EXAMPLES OF TYPE IV MOTORS THAT YOU COULD BUY AND INSTALL IN THIS CAR FOR A VERY REASONABLE AMOUNT. NO COMPLETE MOTOR(S) ARE INCLUDED WITH SALE. ONLY STOCK NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE CASE IS INCLUDED. PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD. THANKS
