You are bidding on a beautiful original 1968 Mercedes 280SL. THIS CAR IS BEING RE-LISTED DO TO THE HIGH BIDDER NOT SHOWING UP OR PAYING FOR THE CAR.It comes with a 6-cylinder fuel injected engine with automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. Original owner car, however there is a transfer of title from the owners business to his personal record. All maintenance records available from 2009 and in that time the vehicle was only driven 8,000miles. Driven by an elderly man who only used the car on the weekends. Odometer says 26,997 but we do not know how many times the odometer has turned over. The car runs excellent, transmission shifts strong and the brakes are in great condition. This would be an excellent candidate for restoration given the quality of the car. These cars are rapidly becoming valuable and this particular car would be an incredible opportunity to own an outstand example of Mercedes-Benz craftsmanship. This car has a Dark Brown exterior with white Leather Seats and brown carpeting. The paint is in relatively good condition for its age, however it is missing a chrome molding on the drivers door and there is a large dent in the passenger door. (Shown in the pictures.) There are minor nicks and scratches as well. Please look at the pictures carefully! The car is beautiful in person, but by no means is it a concourse quality car.
