Vehicle Detail
1975 Lincoln Continental Mark 4 (MORE PICTURES TO FOLLOW, SIZE OF FILES WERE TOO LARGE).. MOVING SOON and can’t take it with me, Here is a great opportunity to buy a great classic car at a great price, super low reserve, not trying to make a killing like some, just trying to get some money for my pending move and other pending projects. Also everything won't fit at my new house. All original, My Grandfather was the original owner; he took great care of the car but passed away about 20 years ago, so it had been sitting in his garage till about 5 years ago. The car is in good shape for a 41-42 year old vehicle; since it is the original paint it does have a few chips and a ding or two but nothing severe. It has the original paint, original leather interior, Vinyl top, Vacuum headlight doors work, 8 track player and 69,479 miles, 460 C.I. motor, C6 auto Transmission, Power everything, Windows, Doors locks, Seats, Steering, Tilt wheel and Cruise Control. It starts up and runs. The rims are Genuine SHELBY rims, see pictures, I replaced the Radiator, Battery, Carburetor, Power steering pump, Belts, Hoses, Fluids/Filters, Brake pads (4 wheel disk) and Tires. Registration/Tags have just been paid through December 2017. Here is what the car needs (I haven’t replaced these things due to Lack of money and now time with a move coming up. Rotors need to be replaced; they were worn way past their limits. I only found this out when I took them apart to replace the brake pads; so I replaced the pads but didn’t have the rotors to replace. I would rebuild the calipers also since you have to remove them to replace the rotors anyway. Exhaust: the exhaust system is pretty rotted out (40+ y/o vehicle). one reason the car runs rough, it also needs a tune up, carb adjust Ball joints: when you turn wheel lock to lock you can hear them (vehicle cannot be driven due to this, must be towed). That is all I can think of, any questions ask away. borchersb@hotmail.com, 818-416-3671 (BRIAN)winning bidder pays any and all shipping, fees or taxes On Dec-20-16 at 21:27:55 PST, seller added the following information: CLARIFICATION OF THE TOP MOST TAG LINE OF "ROTORS, BALL JOINTS AND THE RUSTED EXHAUST" THIS ALSO ANSWERS A QUESTION THAT I RECIEVED. ONLY THE EXHAUST IS RUSTED, THE CAR IS VERY SOLID WITH NO RUST THAT I KNOW OF OR CAN SEE. THE ROTORS ARE NOT RUSTED THEY ARE JUST WORN WELL PAST THE REPLACEMENT THICKNESS, SO THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE BALL JOINTS ARE WORN OUT, YOU CAN HEAR THEM WHEN YOU TURN THE WHEEL FROM FULL LOCK TO LOCK. On Dec-26-16 at 13:40:57 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked to add a side picture of the car, and I also added a picture of the headlight doors shut, they look dark because they very dirty. they are run off of the engine vacuum and open up when the engine hasn't been run for a while.
