May 1, 1968 Has Black Plates, California Mustang and Center console powered by original V8 289. Great running Mustang! Starts right up, runs, drives and stops great. Drove off the showroom floor in 1968 and has been in 1 family its whole life. Well kept and regular maintainance. This Mustang is an unmolested time capsule! Original rebuilt 289 V8 (Block Casting Date; 8C7U) with about 200 miles since rebuild which included Piston Rings, Pistons, Main Bearing, Cam Bearing, Oil Pump, Freeze Plug, Lifters and Timing Kit. Has a Holley 2 bbl. Carb. Has a nice shifting C4 Cruise-O-Matic Transmission, shifts great into all gears and reverse great. An absolute pleasure to drive, shifts great. Has newer drum brakes that stop the car great. New Brake shoes, hardware hoses, drums, wheel cylinder and wheel bearings. Nice Power steering makes driving easy. Original Standard Interior in Dark Red Crinkle Vinyl in excellent condition, Original Front and rear seats, Headliner, (headliner is split towards the back and could use replaced). Visors, Door Panels and Kick Panels and carpet. Roof rail seals and glass seals all in great condition. All windows are in great condition and roll up and down as they should. The car retains original color Royal Maroon and was repainted in the 70's. Paint is faded but overall body is nice and straight and all gapping is great. Car sat in the garage most of its life All chrome is bright and shiney. Rear bumper has Nicely detailed engine compartment and trunk . From a driving standpoint, the Mustang starts right up and falls into a smooth idle. The car is easy to drive and is very reliable.
