I have a very nice 2000 MB SL500 that I'm needing to sell. Everything on this car works except the driver's heated seat (passenger is fine) and the air bolsters on both seats don't seem to do much. I believe that option was a little more common on the SL600 as I've never seen it on a SL500 before. The interior is in nice condition and the seats show very little wear. It has new tires but the brakes are down to around 30 - 50%. There are no leaks of any kind. Spark plugs were new this summer (all 16!) and the valve cover gaskets were both replace. The A/C and heater both work great. The worst thing about the paint is that the trunk lid had been previously repainted and doesn't quite match. I'm not sure why it was repainted in the past. This car will take you anyplace in the country without any worries. Of course, being a 17 year old car it will have a few minor imperfections. I've tried to take pictures of any dings, etc. Mostly, the hard top had a few scratches. The soft top is in great condition though it doesn't seem to lay quite right in the back corners (see pics). This seems to be a common thing on the R129's. Maybe an adjustment could be made to make it lay more flat. This car will also come with the wind blocker that fits behind the front seats. The first 10" or so, from the front, is gone. They can be bought on Ebay for around $55.00 with free freight. I have pictures of that and several others upon request. Thanks
