Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340. I bought this car out of California earlier this year and had it shipped via semi here to me in Indiana. This car has a pretty good history behind it in that it was given away by Regal Gas stations and Hancock oil company thru H.W. Hunter Antelope valley Dodge which is still in business today. And YES I have the original ticket laminated that goes with the car. Back in the day regal gas stations had promotions that gave away items for using there gas stations and as you can imagine this would have been the top prize. The car was given away april 10 1970 to a lucky winner. The front license plate frame still shows H.W. Hunter Dodge. Now for the car. It is original Hemi orange black top and black scat pack tail stripe car. The paint is original and a few spots has been repainted in the past like the drivers front fender the stripes. Rear pan under bumper has been replaced therefore it has new paint on it thus why the tail stripe doesnt follow on down. The body does have some small dings but as I have said this car is original time capsule. The motor is the 275 h.p. 340 and man it runs great! The motor has a warrenty replacment block from the factory it does not have any numbers stamped on the block pad although it is date coded for 1970 therefore I believe it to be as stated. It does have an new edlebrock carb but I do have the original carter that was on it. Motor has been upgraded to electronic orange box ignition. Has a 727 trans and it does drip from the front seal, The trans is the original numbers matching unit. has duel exhaust with cross over pipe and flowmaster style mufflers and sounds great. Rear end is a 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears single track. I have changed the rear rubber brake line and installed a new master cylinder that is true to car. Has manuel disc/drum brakes and stops great. Has power steering. I put all 4 new shocks with rear coil overs on it also. Has a new gas tank and gauge does work. The interior is in great condition no rips or tears carpet is newer. All gauges work and has the rare rallye dash package with tac in the center. Wipers work. Blower motor flexible piping that goes to defrosters are gone.Glove box light even works. Tires are in great condition and original rallye rims on car. One small spot under top as shown in pics. The only rust spot is in the spare tire trunk area as seen in pic other then that what you see is just paint degrigation cause it is all original. The car even has the original spare tire which is a Union 76 super belt. Car runs and drives down the road fantastic real solid not rattley and tinny sounding.Very solid can definately tell its only 39k miles. People oh and ahh over this car! I do have the car listed for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end auction early if car sells. The car was appraised in the last month and the appraiser who has been doing this for 40 years was very excited to see a car like this in this good of shape and he agrees this car is solid with no filler or panel replacement with only a few spots that was repainted but had been done years ago paint does shine and smooth. My reserve is lower then the appraised value. The tires on the car are not what are in the pictures. The tires now are a set of good year polyglass F70's Any questions please ask I have tried to list everything I know of the car so no surprises. Keep as it is as original or give it paint job and wow!
