1972 OSSA PIONEER 250 NO TITLE BILL OF SALE ONLY This 72 Ossa was previously owned by a Ossa enthusiast. The story goes this was to be "beater" around the farm bike. I bought it from a guy who bought the collection. It did not run or have spark when I purchased it and had been sitting for several years in a living room. The bike is a 250 5 speed bike with some mismatched parts from other years and newer upgrades. The paint was done recently and is in excellent condition. The fuel tank was sealed. I installed new petcocks and fuel lines. It did not have a carburetor when I bought it so I installed a brand new Mikuni VM30 and flange. It had the Magura throttle so I installed new throttle cable. I also installed a new universal front brake cable. The clutch cable was on the bike and works properly. The front fender is from a 60's Ossa. The seat glass is from a 71 and the rear wheel is as well from a 4 speed bike. I was lucky enough to figure out someone had wired the coils wrong. I re-wired the bike installed the Mikuni and after about 4 kicks she fired right up. I have installed a new kill button too. The bike sounds great. See video. It does not have the silencer. I rode the bike as it goes through all the gears correctly. I have not put much time on the bike since sorting it out. Not even an hour of riding time. The clutch has some slippage under power. I have adjusted the cable and tried a heavier oil which helped some but it still has some slippage. Not sure how the Ossa clutch works but maybe the clutch pressure plate/springs needs some adjustment or new plates which from what I hear Barnett sells. The fork seals will need to be replaced. I installed a new 520 hd chain. This is a very sharp looking bike and with a time this bike can be tearing through the woods. I did not receive and does not come with the lights or speedometer.
