Looking for a vehicle that can accommodate your family of seven while pulling your 30 foot trailer? Then this is the vehicle for you. You are looking at a Bullet proofed 2005 Ford Excursion 6.0L Eddie Bauer. You may be asking, "What's Bullet Proof?"Well, back in the early 2000's, ford built one of the best engines ever built when they manufactured this 6.0L. However, they forgot one important detail. They forgot to stud the head. Due to this minor yet very complacent flaw, some engines would blow head gaskets every now and then. This of course is a very important aspect for a vehicle that was meant to tow some extreme loads. Needless to say, if you pulled something heavy enough, you were likely to blow a gasket. Why Ford did this still has several consumers scratching their head. Now this procedure to the engine isn't exactly cheap. Most would spend on average $10,000 dollars depending on the extent of work and mods you add. This Excursion went thru a pretty extensive work over, which put a $16,000 dollar dent in my pocket. (Receipts available) Along with the Bullet proofed engine, this Excursion has the following mods: - 5 inch suspension lift- Front and rear Fox suspension- Custom Flat Black paint job to Eddie Bauer trim-18" Mickey Thompson wheels with 2,500 miles -35" Falken Wildpeak AT3 Tires with 2,500 miles- Pioneer in dash DVD player with Navigation- Rear 12" DVD entertainment player that can be played separately or in unison with in dash unit. - Hertz complete component sound system with 10" MTX sub which compliments very well. No rattling due to Dyno mat installed throughout vehicle. This Excursion has it all and is in great condition. You will not be disappointed.
