Very few were produced , only in 1966 was Sauterne Gold Metallic Poly ( Med Sage ) available and even fewer with a Vinyl top and Pony Luxury interior . This a classy combination and stands out from the rest ! This car still retains many of its original items including the Very important Buck Tag indicating its factory PIO code as well as rear diff. tag , quick ratio power steering box tag , power steering pump tag and Data Plate on drivers door . Compare to other GT's to see if they verify the same ? ( This is where the value is ! ) We purposely left this car in it's present natural state . We present as it retains it's original undercarriage red oxide primed floors and sheet metal that is in excellent condition without any rust , a good cleaning and respray and the under carriage will look new . Nothing has been replaced , patched, or painted . The body is straight and solid with one older respray that has a great luster and is very presentable . It does need minor attention to the lower door panels and a few minor defects which is understandable for it's age . The lower rear quarters were replaced also when that respray was performed . Passenger side lower rear quarter shows some work in paint that can be easily corrected . A car cover is included with the sale . The interior is like new from the carpet to the headliner ! All new Pony Luxury interior in Black and Parchment which really gives the coupe Prominence and the Sharp factor ! The console is excellent as well as the dash . All the glass is original and weather stripping and chrome is in great condition . Steering wheel is original . Attention is needed to the radio which powers up but does not have sound . Interior lights not working, could be fuse and or wiring . Gas gauge works as well as oil pressure gauge which was installed aftermarket , temp gauge works and Speedo works . All exterior lights function as well as fog lights front and rear . Mechanically the car is in good driving condition ! The 289 V8 runs terriffic and strong ! It has undergone a recent ( under 200 miles ) upper end refresh which includes a new mild cam and lifters , timing chain and gears , Edelbrock intake as well as a new Holley 600 cfm 4 bbl carburetor . ( Stock intake and Autolite 4100 available ). A new waterpump as well as starter , solenoid , voltage regulator , Alternator ,coil and electronic distributor . New Plugs and wires . Chrome valve covers and all new gaskets . New dual exhaust and trumpet tips . The transmission has been rebuilt and functions properly but does leak when sitting . ( believed to be a later C4 ). All new brake lines , pads and shoes . New master cylinder . New axle seals . New power steering piston boot . Original power steering valve body leaks . New gas tank and sending unit . All New Cooper Cobra GT 215/70/14 tires on original Ford Magnum 500 14" x 7 " wheels ! A great investment quality GT that is a rare find and ready to be enjoyed !
