Vehicle Detail
I'm relisting this because of no payment, no communication from the high bidder, a rather useless person with no intention of actually paying for the car. Up for auction we have a 1998 Cadillac Eldorado. It is Firemist Gold, with a tan, leather interior. This car belonged to a friend of mine who passed away this past May. It has been stored for the last 6 years, and will crank over very strong, but will not start, very possibly stale gas. I have done absolutely nothing to get it started and don't want to get involved in working on this vehicle. I've been a mechanic since 1969, never worked on Cadillacs, especially the northstar, and will not start now. However, it ran and drove very, very well before it was stored in 2009. The paint appears to be all original with a few minor dents and a small hole in the one tail light. Interior is real decent for leather. The drivers window switch needs replaced, it will not go up unless you jump the switch. Window motor is fine, it's just the switch. Now for the interesting part. Bill bought this car at the Manheim Auto Auction through my business. When he bought the vehicle, the seller advertised that it was used in the filming of the TV series The Sopranos. I looked around a bit online, couldn't find anything, so I honestly do not know. However, the windshield is clear, plate glass, and I've been told this type of windshield was used in filming so the driver could be seen. The windshield is also broken and needs replaced. I ended up with this car because Bill's daughter just wanted to sell off his stuff and go back to Iowa, and she couldn't get the car started. It needed to be removed from the storage garage and I offered to move it with my rollback. Where it's siting is where I dumped it off the rollback May 19th. I can deliver it for a fee, or it can be picked up. My description and the possible TV history are absolutely true, I'm not just blowing smoke! I'm not interested in playing games or 500 emails, I just want this thing to go away, Cadillacs are not my thing. Please check my feedback for the last 16 years on EBAY, 100 % positive. On Sep-08-16 at 08:48:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Just came up with some very interesting information on this Cadillac. I talked to the manager at Brogan Cadillac. He informed me that back in the 90's Brogan had 2 other dealerships, and definitely did supply many vehicles to The Sopranos. His records do not go back to Oct. 1997 when the car was sold, so he could not confirm that this is definitely one of the cars, but it's a very, very strong possibility. I looked at the rear of one of Paulies Eldorados and the Brogan emblem on the trunk is placed just a bit to left of center, over the northstar emblem, exactly like mine. The credits have it listed as a 1997 Eldorado. I suspect this is because the car was sold in Oct. of 1997. I'm searching for the name of the leasing company that owned the car, will post as soon as I find out. On Sep-11-16 at 13:03:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm posting two pictures of what I believe to be the same car I'm selling. And also, I believe the same Eldorado was used in the episode where Paulie whacks the landscapers and takes their lawn mower. It's easy to find, just search "Sopranos lawn mower". That being said, even though there's a lot of evidence for this being the actual car, especially the clear glass windshield, I make absolutely no guarantee!!!!! On Sep-30-16 at 06:34:26 PDT, seller added the following information: This is an email that I received the last time the car was listed. Q: Hi there, as a Cadillac buff and also a huge Sopranos fan, I can verify this is the car. The Bregan badge on the back of the car, above the 32V Northstar badge, is the same badge shown on the program when Paulie Gualtieri gets the eldorado. If you google, "The Sopranos Cadillac Eldorado", you will find the same car does show up. This IS the car used in the sopranos. Awesome. I wish I could buy it, lol. If I could attach the image of the rear end of the car from an episode shot, I would, but that's the giveaway is that badge. Sep-08-16 A: I thank you very much for the information. I know when Bill bought the car he was all excited, but I didn't pay much attention at the time. He was in poor health for the last 5 or 6 years and the car was in storage until this May. Thanks again, Glenn
