Vehicle Detail

A very rare find with no reserve. Custom 1957 F-250 4x4 4-speed with a 292 y-block v-8. This truck was customized and painted in 1979, front grill and hood were converted to a 1960 model year and the automatic transmission was replaced with a 4-speed manual. The body is straight, has small dings, paint chips, scratches and is aged as seen in pictures, has damage to front passenger side of hood as seen in pictures, has minor rust , the worst area being the passenger side door pillar as seen in pictures, rest is surface. The Truck is complete (less the tailgate) with a clear non-op title in my name. It has been sitting parked in my garage for about five years. Starts and runs great, just needs minor repairs such as the master cylinder replaced, clutch cylinder bled and a new battery . The front drive shaft was removed years ago and will need new u-joints before its put back. It is in the tool box in back along with the factory a/c unit and a bunch of miscellaneous extra parts. These trucks are very easy to work on, parts are cheap and easy to find. Would make an excellent father and son/daughter project. Or drive as is. A brief history about the truck.... I purchased this truck from the original owner who was a metal fabricator, an eighty nine year old gentlemen that had a six acre ranch in Paso Robles California and a passion for customizing cars and trucks back in the days. He had parked the truck in a shed around 1989 and removed the front drive shaft in order to replace the faulty clutch slave cylinder. That's where it sat about twenty two years before I came along. We made an agreement at the time of sale that I would drive the truck back when I had it running and that he gets to drive it one last time. I brought it home and had it up running in a couple of weeks. I drove it from Burbank to Paso Robles and put the biggest smile on his face. In return he gave me all the extra parts seen in the tool box. Ever since then the truck just sits parked in the garage in Apple Valley. I start it up every so often but my business has me on the road six days a week. So I have made up my mind to pass it on to a new owner. Here's an opportunity to own a rare classic four wheel drive Ford that you don't see too often. No reserve the highest bidder will own her. Please note the battery is not included in the sale. Thank you.
