Resto Mod Please visit www.pristineautosusa.com for additional pictures. We are pleased to offer this recently restored 1969 Porsche 912. The exterior color is light ivory, the interior is black. This Porsche was stripped to bare metal, all window and door handles removed, doors were removed and stripped, trunk and hood were replaced and then repainted to original color. While being restored all floor panels were replaced and various other sheet metal. This is now a rust free Porsche 912. All sheet metal parts were from Restoration Designs. We had the hood, ducktail, front and rear bumper all replaced with fibreglass parts, this is now a light weight 912. All weather stripping has been replaced. All interior has been replaced including headliner, the seats are high back 911, the gauges are 911, the rear seats were removed and a RS carpet kit was fitted. The wheels are cookie cutters with new yokohoma tires. The engine is a 1967 912 engine which has recently been rebuilt, also flywheel, clutch, and rear main seal have been replaced. This is a great driving 912, it cruises the freeway at 70+ mph with ease. the engine is responsive with no strange noises, the operating temperature remains normal even in heavy traffic, the compression is good, also NO smoke on start up. We also rebuilt the Webber carbs. The transmission is 4-speed, all syncros are good. This is a nice smooth shifting transmission. The suspension is nice and firm with new front bilstien shocks. We also replace various suspension bushings. We basically replaced or renewed everything on this car. If you are looking for a really fun driving car then this is the car for you.
