Up for auction I have a mostly unrestored 1966 Thunderbird in very original condition. I bought this car in 2009 and since have replaced the fuel tank, fuel pick up and sender, speedo cable , head gaskets, exhaust manifolds, several exhaust valves, intake manifold; with a much lighter Edelbrock Performer. I also replaced the original carb. with a Holley 650 vacuum secondaries carb. It now has electric choke. I converted a new distributor to electronic ignition with a Pertronics unit. Starts and runs perfectly everytime. I then replaced all the tie rods and ball joints, and new tires. I have replaced front and rear brakes, resurfaced the rotors and drums, and also replaced the front wheel bearings and races, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, adjustable proportioning valve, and several brake hoses and lines. The car has power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, swing away steering wheel and air conditioning. This Thunderbird is RUST FREE. no kidding. Has 40 year old paint , and NO BONDO. It really is a great car. The air conditioning does not work... The car comes with the needed compressor and expansion valve, also approx. 15 lbs. R12 refrigerant. It also comes with a complete set of bearing and races to fully rebuild the rear differential. The left rear window motor needs a plastic gear.. the motor works but the gear is stripped. It also comes with 2 new front lower control arm bushings. I can perform the a/c work, rebuild the rear and replace the bushings if you wish, for an added fee over the buy it now price.
