This for a 1948 Buick Super Sedan.This a very nice,well preserved old car that will need a little love.The black paint looks good from 20ft away,but it will need repainting to be nice.This car has been used in a few movies and TV shows( A few episodes of Monument Men) and has been touched up over the years.Scan down to the bottom of the description for some movie photos.Note the stickers in the windshield on the passenger side,they match the ones on the movie photos.The car itself is very presentable and overall solid,considering it's a 68 year old car,but please note,there are some Rust issues.There is some rust in both rockers,inner and outer and some spots on the upper rear fender by the body and up by the drivers side headlight on the front drivers side fender, that were poorly repaired along time ago.See photos.The frame and floors look good, as does the trunk floor.The doors look good and open and shut like new.The hood is great and opens both ways easily.The trunk lid is also solid.All the chrome including the bumpers is very NICE.The interior is in amazing condition.It is mohair and still has that great old Buick smell.It looks like new and will need nothing.It has a cool sunvisor and a traffic light viewer on the dash.Factory radio still works as do all dash lights and signals.Gauges are beautiful.It also has a very rare Buick folding necker knob on the steering wheel.All 5 Remington Wide White tires are like new with high tread 80% or better and very even wear.It has good brakes and the clutch is good.You couldn't replicate the interior,and chrome alone for my reserve and buy it now price.This car is a bargain for a Buick lover. BUT there is a major issue with the engine,so PLEASE read all the description. *****IMPORTANT*****It has slung a rod and has a hole in the block on the drivers side in the middle above the oil pan but it still runs.See photos. Amazingly the car will still crank right up and has good oil pressure.It has a major vibration when above 800 rpms but surprisingly NO engine noise and still fairly smooth below 800 rpms.It is still full of antifreeze.It cranks easily by mashing the gas pedal to the floor.It will drive upon a trailer and will move around under its own power.It does leak oil out of the hole but not as bad as you would think.The gas tank has been removed and is in the trunk.It looks fine.I am not sure why it was removed.I have the car running off a small jug under the hood for the time being.The brakes are great.The steering is very tight,I believe without a doubt the miles on this car are correct.All the glass is very good also with the exception of a crack on the passenger side front door glass.There are some dummy spotlights in the trunk along with a extra fender skirt.Please look at all photos,it will sell as it sits and It will sell AS IS!!!
