Vehicle Detail

**edit** The engine is from very well cared for 1981 model CX 500 deluxe with 15,000 miles. The 1978 engine did not have the recall done to it. **update** I am in the process of taking a video of the bike for you all. It will be posted tonight, Wednesday, August 10th. ***Up for auction is this gorgeous, customized one-of-a-kind cafe racer build. The base bike is a 1978 Honda CX500, now transformed into a stunning café racer from Tulsa Heart MotoWorks. If you've been on the hunt for a vintage custom-built café racer, this is one you do not want to miss out on. This water-cooled transverse V-twin turns heads and attracts tons of attention everywhere it goes. The seat and tail were handcrafted and are completely original. The seat was designed with aesthetic appeal, funtionality and comfort in mind; the cushion was shaped by hand from very high quality, dense, yet soft supportive cushion block. The seat cover was also custom made using marine grade vinyl and robust marine grade black threading. The seat pan was crafted from scratch using fiberglass and resin. It is very light, very strong. Under the seat all of the electronics are neatly tucked away from the eye in a custom-built sheet steal box including the battery, new aftermarket CDI box by Ignitech, and regulator/rectifier. The tailpiece was hand formed from a sheet of steal and welded to the frame and seat hoop. The paint looks amazing. The left of the tank was sprayed with a dash metal flake in the clear coat over the black... Going up from the left to the top of the tank in the metal flake fades out so that the right side of the tank is only black and clear coated. There few minor imperfections you will have to really hunt for to see in the paint… on the left below the H of the Honda emblem there is a very small ding. Overall the paint is quite stunning as you can see in the photos. OK, now for the elephant in the room. When you pick up the bike the front tire will match the rear. The front tire currently does not match. The matching Firestone champion classic 4.00 X 19 will be on the bike for the new owner, so no worries! Excellent braking power: Front brake upgrade with rebuilt dual pot caliper and stainless steel braided brake line and new front master cylinder. Fresh black enamel paint on the engine front forks and final drive. The final drive has been refreshed with the new synthetic gear oil and fresh Molly grease on the drive splines. The carburetors have been completely rebuilt. First disassembled and ultrasonically cleaned an industrial ultrasonic cleaner. The pressed fit low jet was extracted to clear the tiny idle air/fuel passageways of all debris, varnish and calcium deposits. Carburetors were rejected at 90/120 from the stock 78/112 Jets. The pod filters were carefully modified so that upper atmospheric air venturis would not be obstructed and function as they should. Runs like a scolded dog. Very nice acceleration through all throttle positions. I estimate 30 pounds were dropped from the stock set up. New chrome exhaust mufflers (sounds sooo good, nice deep, punchy thumps)New black exhaust header wrap installed with stainless steel zip ties. New Tarozzi fork brace installed for better handling.New glossy black Clubman handlebarsNew master cylinder New gripsTop triple tree was stripped of paint, primed, painted black and clear coated.Fresh oil and filterFresh coolant after thorough radiator flush.Valves and cam chain just at the factory specifications. That's all I've got. Happy bidding, all! I am currently on my way into the wilderness for a hiking trip and will not have service to answer all questions immediately, but I will answer them as soon as I possibly can. All best!
