This is a rust free Black 1984 Mercedes 380 SL. The car is stored winters (heated facility) and driven as needed for maintenance during favorable weather. This style of care has been true since the car was new. I have been all over this car and there is no rust which is very rare for the make and model. It drives out as new and loves 80 mph. I have replaced all fuel system items as needed from the filter to the injectors due to not being driven enough. It now idles at 600 rpm. To idle at that speed the fuel and the vacuum system has to be in top condition. The only issue with the car is that we have never converted the air conditioning system to the new Freon. As it is a convertible and driven on fair weather days, this has not been an issue. All air conditioning parts are there but for colder air you would need to fix this. The car is original and not molested by cheap fixes or modifications. Tires and shocks are new and we added heavy duty (original option) springs to the back. The car drives great and also looks great just setting in the garage. The wheels are the original design but in chrome which adds to its beauty. The hard top is also black and in very nice condition. The hard top is only installed for winter storage and sets on its carrier the rest of the time. Exhaust is new and original design but was powder coated so it is unnoticeable at the rear of the car. Tires are brand new. No cracks in the dash. If you take the time to check my rating you will see that I have a 100% approval and on high end items.
