The title issued by New Jersey is incorrect, Title states it has 146,000 miles but it only has 46,000 I could not get the DMV to correct it, Very stubborn workers and would not admit they made a mistake. The jeep was just put back on the road after sitting in the garage for a couple of years. I drove it around 100 miles before the carburetor started to fail, it is flooding and needs to be serviced otherwise it runs and drives good. I repainted over the original paint and it needs to be sanded smooth, it was a rush job because it could not be classic car insured or registered under restoration. There is very little body work done on this. The only work was done on the bottom of the rocker panels. The floors were done by previous owner and are solid but there is a spot on passenger side that needs new sheet metal. The engine and body have under 47,000 miles The engine was removed painted and resealed with new gaskets, there are no leaks. The frame was painted with POR-15 and is totally rust free. The front passenger side fender has a dent that is minor. The clock is original but needs service. The seats do not match and have very minor rips. The engine was modified a little with an Offenhauser Intake and a Holly 4 barrel carb. it was also ported to get a smooth finish inside. The tires have less than 300 miles on them and they are size 31's. the rims are not original but I have them and will go with the jeep if wanted. The "JEEPSTER COMMANDO" emblems on the hood were purchased BRAND NEW ! I purchased them in an unopened package several years ago. Very rare find !!! The body mounts are new. the soft top has a couple of rips but nothing major also NO leaks.THE only thing it needs to run right now is the carb. rebuilt. that's it.
