The engine number AE561251 is a VW dual port 1600cc built in 1970/71 coupled to a VW 4 speed manual transmission. The odometer shows 78,995 although Pennsylvania exempts mileage on titles of older cars. This is a very original unrestored dune buggy in overall excellent condition. Fiberglass body is excellent with no stress cracks and high gloss yellow finish with 1970’s graphics on lower body. Windshield frame, taillights and headlights are all original. Buggy is wearing cool looking VW hubcaps on steel wheels with chrome trim rings. Original black vinyl bucket seats in excellent condition and neat chrome spoke steering wheel finished off with aluminum gas tank. Buggy runs and drives, all lights function. Engine starts easily, does not smoke and sounds great! Original VW floor pan is in great shape with no rust issues. We have clean PA title.
