1977 Porsche 911s Wide Body Carrera RS Clone 67,741 Orig Miles UPDATE: THIS 911 RUNS GREAT BUT TODAY 7/17/2016 AFTER A LONG RIDE IT STARTED TO SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST. AT IDLE THERES NO SMOKE. ?? ENGINE SOUNDS GREAT BUT THERE IS EVIDENCE OF OIL IN THE EXHAUST. MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION! NOT TAKING OFFERS.... FIRST BUYER TO HIT BIN GETS IT. I'VE HAD 13 OFFERS TO DATE. The Porsche 911 Carrera RS is an icon of the motoring world, and for good reason. The RS combined a lighter weight and a more powerful engine with improved suspension and braking to produce a car suitable for racing and began the 911’s stellar career in the annals of road racing history. Add to this performance the classic long hood 911 design and you have a winner in nearly every respect. Naturally, buying a Carrera RS now is a very expensive proposition and the remaining models are found mostly in the hands of collectors who have little interest in putting additional miles on the car. Enter the replica: you get the looks and the performance, but with a lower cost of entry and less concerns over maintaining collectability. Which brings us to the car featured here: a 1977 Porsche 911 transformed into the appearance of a 911 Carrera RS with a standard 2.7. History I recently purchased this 911s Carrera Rs Clone from the last owner who was a women who purchased the car for her husband as a retirement gift. The car was purchased from Nevada and shipped to NJ in 2011. She told me her husband loved the car but it was difficult for him to drive with the clutch. The car was driven rarely and was parked in 2013 when he became ill. She purchased the car with 67,001 Miles and now the car only has 67,741 miles. The car became available to me by word of mouth and I always asked about the car since it had such a great look and sound to it. The car was removed from the garage, fuel system was cleaned, oil was changed and and it received a tuneup. At first the car smoked but seems like now it has cleared. The car will need valve cover since they do leak. I would recommend replacing them. Otherwise the car runs, drives, shifts and stops well. Tires are in good shape. Interior seats where reupholstered and look new! Body The car appears to have been originally red. From my understanding the car was transformed around 2000 when it received the wide body kit ( looks like it was done well and has no cracks. Paint looks great and all door jambs and trunk and engine compartment was done also. Overall looks great! No Rust Engine I'm not a porsche expert so correct me if I'm wrong. The decals in the engine compartment list the engine as 3.0L but I believe there where put there when the car was cloned? I believe the motor is a 2.7. Its a lime green color block? Exhaust seems to be aftermarket and has one awesome sound! Will need valve covers as they are leaking. Please ask questions! Priced to sell!!! Clear NJ Title Show Actual Miles! Serious offers only please. A $500 deposit required at end of auction end. PayPal, Money order, Cash or Cashier's Check only . Car needs to be paid in full within 7 days unless prior arrangements are made. Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping. I will assist with arrangements if needed. Car will not be released until funds have cleared.THERE ARE OVER 30 HD PHOTO'S BELOW. DEPENDING ON YOU DISPLAY FORMAT YOU MAY HAVE TO LOOK FOR A SECOND SCROLL BAR ON YOUR RIGHT TO VIEW THE PHOTO'S.
