1968 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE==========================EARLY BUILD "J "CODE NOVEMBER 25 , 1967 BUCK TAGGED AND DOOR PLATE ORIGINAL GT OPTIONS 302 V8 4BBL ===============VERY SOLID STRAIGHT CAR Here we have a very desirable and gorgeous Acapulco Blue Metallic with white Convertible power top ~ J ~ CODE ! Early build 1968 Numbers matching correct car with an interior color change to Parchment from Blue by the previous owner . This car is in great condition , being rust free and straight throughout from top to bottom . Suspension is all in order as well as the brakes and tires . Springs and shocks have been replaced and the car car rides and handles perfect ! The Front disc brakes work excellent as well as the rear drums , all brake lines and cylinders are in good condition . The Power steering is fantastic and transmission shifts and performs correctly . The tires are like new and the chrome GT wheels are in excellent condition . The car has been garaged kept and has been off the road since 2009 which was a few years after it had gone through a cosmetic refresh . New paint / Top / Interior . Minor cosmetic issues on the interior can be addressed . It needs some tweeking and fussing to make it perfect . It has a new modern gauge cluster but the fuel gauge doesn't seem to be working as well as the temp gauge . Could be sender not working. Passenger side window sticks and needs assistance . Original radio is in the dash but not hooked up to power or speakers . Other minor issues cosmetic could be addressed. The exterior paint is brilliant and very nice with only minor imperfections that normally occur . Needs a few touchups . All lights work as well as the Horn . Fog lights are not hooked up . The car retains its original 302 V8 with a 4bbl Holley carb . It starts up in one click of the key and runs good till warm . It will begin to smoke out the tail pipes when it warms up . A sign of ring wear and I would suggest a motor rebuild is in order for this beauty . The car has been parked for over 6 years and could be sticky or gummed up . This car deserves a freshen on the engine ! It is a diamond of a car overall and does need a bit of attention but well worth the investment to bring it to it's full glory . This is a beautiful car to own and brings excitement at every glance ! It is truly one of my favorites and I am reluctant to let her go for I need to invest in other projects and feel that someone will be indulged to take ownership of this one .
