Vehicle Detail

1979 MGB Roadster Very nice MGB that needs a head put on it. Bought this car for my wife and did tons of work to it, spent over 5,000 on parts. She drove it a couple of summers, then I pulled the head to get it reworked for better performance and found it had a small crack so I was going to put an aluminum cross flow head on when my health went out the window, so now I have to pass the car on to a new owner. We bought the car from the same owner since 1980. Previous owner drove it for a couple of years then parked it in her garage where it sat for 30 years. I live about 10 minutes from Victoria British so it was all too easy to run over to them and hand them cash! It is a very solid and tight MGB. Floors, trunk, rockers very nice. A small amount of bubbling on passenger rocker, but previous owner said it had been like that forever and never grew. It drove very tight, like a new MG. The list goes on and on but here are some of the things I remember buying for the car*New fuel tank and sending unit*4 New Michelin tires*New Weber DGV carb*New Pertronix electronic distributor*New Pacesetter header*New Monza exhaust*New H.O.coil*New master cylinder*New rotors, calipers, pads, and lines up front*New drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, and lines on back*New electric cooling fan*New rollbar pad*New top ( needs to be installed)*New wheel trim rings,MG logo lug nuts, New MG logo wheel centersThe list goes on and on, but those are a few of the things I can remember. This is a very good car. I have had lots of MGs over the last 40 years, and this is truly one of the tightest I've ever had. It has always been in my conditioned garage. As I said I was diagnosed with Cancer, followed by a triple bypass, so my days of wrenching are over with. I am selling at this price because I need to see it go to someone that will put a head on it and enjoy it. I went through all the electrical and everything was working except the clock. It is also an Overdrive car. This will be a great car at a great deal if you"re willing to do a little work. Please e-mail with any questions
