Vehicle Detail

1979 Toyota Corolla Deluxe: This Toyota was in the process of being restored, but a family death has prompted the sale. Here is everything I know about this vehicle, please do not hesitate to ask for any additional info or more photos. Interior:In general, the interior is clean. Moisture does accumulate inside the car, so it should be garaged or placed under the car cover (INCLUDED).The dash has been covered with a piece of fabric (I assume there was severe cracking). This is a non-smoking vehicle. There are seat covers on both driver and passenger seats. I have not even bothered to check the actual seat condition. There is an aftermarket CD system installed. Engine / Mechanical: The odometer only has 5 digits and reads 94,413. I have no idea what the actual mileage is, but the engine appears to me to be stock. There is an exhaust leak somewhere. I have not crawled under the car to try to identify the location. The car starts every time, but (as with most carbureted vehicles) needs to warm up for a few minutes to run.The brakes are strong. The tires are good with a lot of rubber left on them. Body:The car had body work done on it and repainted bright yellow. The car appears straight to me (no obvious bondo ripples, etc). Some of the trim has a hard time staying on. The passenger-side windshield wiper blade rubber is not good. Other: A car cover is included. Original manuals are included. The car is located in Kirkland, WA (a suburb of Seattle). I have a clean title in hand. On Jul-08-16 at 10:59:16 PDT, seller added the following information: July 8th update: I wanted to clarify the information on the dash. The dash has a piece of leather-like (pleather?) fabric that is about 2 feet wide which is glued onto the dash. (I assume the dash is in bad shape under this fabric). The corner of the fabric to the left of the steering wheel is coming up. In addition, there is a crack in the dash on the passenger side which was not mentioned previously. I have added two photos to help clarify. In addition, I forgot to mention that there are 4 road chips in the windshield. All four are circular chips and show no signs of extending. I also wanted to add that the tabs are due Aug 31st (just in case there are any WA state buyers). Thanks for looking. Please feel free to ask for any additional info. On Jul-13-16 at 10:43:28 PDT, seller added the following information: July 13 Updates and clarifications: Here are some answers to questions that I received. This should help supply some details to the original post. I have also added some more photos. The engine needs to be "babied" upon starting. I need to give it a little more gas and keep the idle up for a few minutes after starting the car (whether it's cold or warm). If you don't do anything with the gas, the car will not initially stay running. After a minute or two of warming up, the car will idle on it's own. The car runs OK after warming up. I have not put many miles on the car. I drove it to / from work a four or five times (22 miles each way), but other than that I only drive it around the block once a week. I've never had it overheat on me. The texture of the paint is glossy. I don't know if this means that it's technically clear coated. I do know that the car was professionally painted (not in a backyard garage). I just did a walk-around on the car and I can't see any drips. I know that the some of the trim pieces (e.g. tail light fixtures, side lamps, head lamp assemblies) were taken off of the car before it was painted. It does not look like the side trim pieces were removed, because if I look closely I can see an occasional overspray spot. There is one rough spot under the gas fill (possibly gas spilled when the paint was not completely dry?). I have attached a photo. I have not had (or suspect any) problems with the transmission. I have not had a drop of transmission fluid, oil, or coolant leaking that I can see. There are no spots on my driveway. Sorry, but I have none of the maintenance records. I was hoping to find them to get a real estimate of the actual mileage. The engine is a mystery to me. The engine looks stock (not rebuilt that I can tell), but there are no leaks, which would be expected from a car with 195K or 295K miles. I received the car after my dad died (he was restoring it). I looked through his paperwork for any other info, but I wasn't able to find anything. These are MB wheels.
