They will load below the end of this text. If for some reason they do not load it may be because you have an older computer or a slower connection to the internet. Give it several minutes to load. If they do not, then you can view these pictures by going directly to my Photobucket account here: http://s669.photobucket.com/user/fmattingly/library/Morris%20Minor%201959%20Red This Morris is one of my favorite cars on the plant earth and this one comes from my mechanic who bought it a year or so ago and has gone through it, making it a reliable daily driver. This would be a great little car for a business, put your name on the darkened windows on the side. This little Morris retains everything that came with it from the factory with the exception of adding front disc brakes and a superb Sound System. The car has a very reliable little Toyota Corolla engine from the 70’s. The car drives and shifts flawlessly and has awesome power compared to the original 948. I have had it on the freeway and it moves along nicely at 60 - 65mph, no problem. These little cars were built to be little around town cars not freeway flyers, but with modern fuel this one does just great cruising down the road at speed. And according to original Morris materials these cars were supposed to get 30 mpg. I have not really checked it but it sure seems to sip gasoline. There is a $5769 receipt that comes with the car, showing all the work that was performed a year ago on the car. This was a very original vehicle that received a new paint job around 2012. It’s not a perfect paint job but excellent for a driver. Presents really well, but not show car paint, but smooth a shiny none the less. The wood exterior looks to be 100% original to the car and is in excellent shape with a wonderful patina. The Interior material is a really nice thick velour cloth type material and the rugs are in good shape. The seats were completely rebuilt and are extremely comfortable. The headliner matches the interior and is in great shape, no rips or tears. The rear cargo area is just rear cargo now, but a seat could be added very easily. The last owner used it for his business to haul parts around. The original Smith’s Speedometer/Odometer setup is still in the middle of the dash and four vintage style Auto Meter gauges were added into the dash; Voltage Meter, Water Temp, Oil Pressure and a Quartz Clock. They are a really nice match to the original Smith’s gauge. The Stereo is set up nicely in the glovebox with high-quality speakers front and rear. The sound quality is amazing and fills the car even with all the windows open. This is a really nice driver quality example of the 1959 Morris Minor Traveller. It’s not a show car but extremely presentable and just a blast to drive. It’s a great car to show at local type of car show events and would be perfect as a little company advertising vehicle. People love this little car. Everything works on this car just like it should, it drives down the road straight as an arrow and has many years of fun driving before it would require anything. These cars are extremely simple to work on and parts are readily available and competitive in costs because there are numerous suppliers. If you want a really fun, attention getting utility car that should not go down in value, this is it. These old English cars are just getting going in the collector world. This is a nice place to jump onboard. For additional information, call Frank between the hours of 8AM and 11PM seven days a week, at 949-310-6262.
