Still runs and drives, but barely (blown head gasket, so it overheats quickly -- at least until 2 months ago, when the battery finally died). Otherwise in good condition inside and out, and it ran well until the gasket blew (in the Summer of 2014). It’s been parked next to the house ever since, with weekly startups (letting it run for a minute or so), to keep the carburator and battery in good shape. Now that the battery’s given out, it’s clear I’m never going to get around to fixing it -- time to sell. 5-Speed stick; standard steering, brakes, doorlocks, and windows; no AC (a very ‘Basic’ base-model); the dashboard light died (installed a pair of LED replacement lights, powered through the lighter-plug); it needs a thorough cleaning inside and out (I hosed down the exterior, but it needs more -- see photos); and the tires are getting down there. But... It gets 50-mpg on the freeway (35 to 40 in town); has a pair of airbags; a pair of Pioneer stereo speakers up front (though no actual ‘Stereo’); the original owner’s manual (not a Chiltons, or whatever); all 4 original floormats -- covered with dirt (looks like rust in some of the photos, but this was a California car); and it only has 79,565.4 actual miles -- I’m the 2nd owner (bought the car in September of 1997, I have the original Bill of Sale), it had just over 23k on it then, but was in good shape and I’ve kept it there since (my 60,000 were gentle, smoke-free miles). Kelley Blue Book prices them (in Fair Condition, in my zip code) at almost $1,300. This auction starts at significantly less.
