Vehicle Detail

1988 Lincoln Mk VII "LSC" Luxury Sports Coupe This car was called the "Executive Hot Rod" by "Motor Trend". This is the only vehicle other than the Mustang GT to include Ford's famous and legendary '5.0 HO' engine. The 5-liter High Output engine is a 225-horse, torquey little powerhouse and definitely makes this car move around with some authority.Equipped with Ford's AOD transmission, this car returns an average of 20-22 MPG in all around driving. Very nicely equipped interior with all the 'sport" trimmings" This particular example has been converted into a "GTC" clone. Jack Roush and C&C teamed up to produce a "M1/AMG" style sport coupe back in the 80's. The specific and unique details of the GTC are:Monochromatic exterior. All chrome has been either powedrcoated/painted black or stripped and painted body color, including;Items that were chrome, now black...windows moldingsdoor handles and key holestaillight bezelsbackup light bezelspower antenna bezeltrunk lock coverside mirror bezelsgrillbumper rub strips Items that were chrome, all acid dipped, stripped, primed and painted; now body color...Bumpers Side mirrors (emblems removed and filled in)Grill surround (emblems removed and filled in)Wheel well trimThe GTC conversion consists of the VERY RARE Jack Roush-designed lower body ground effects kit (9 pieces). Subtle but makes a big difference in the look. This was a project I began with my son a few years ago. He is handicapped and the project is stalled. I don't have the time or facilities to complete it. The Good:Beautiful paint. It has not been driven since painted, only stored under a coverThe original leather interior was used up...this has a BRAND NEW interior, custom black with gray trim. NEVER BEEN SAT in. The interior was completely converted from gray to black. This entire interior is BEAUTIFUL!New carpetsNew seatsNew headlinerNew dashnew coil spring conversion...no air-suspension headaches to deal with ever again!new trunk carpets The Bad:Needs to be finished assembly, all parts come with vehicleCouple of paint flaws from sitting:Drivers door has some surface rust under mirror, and stone chip from lawn mower flinging rockTrim around 1/4 windows need repainting blackTrans needs new pan gasket (included with car)A/C not working (needs compressor)Probably needs brakes (been sitting), but they do work wellThis is a great car, and will be an easy project for someone who likes the Mk VII
