Vehicle Detail
1957 TRIUMPH TIGER T110 70'S ERA CHOPPER NO TITLE This Triumph is a project that I bought a few years ago. It will be sold AS-IS with NO TITLE. BILL OF SALE ONLY. It had been through a couple owners but untouched since the 70's. The bike was incomplete when I bought it. A previous owner was converting it to a stator/battery bike. The motor was rebuilt and not fired when I got it. When I started it needed a list of parts just to get to where I am now. This is a list of a few of the parts/work I have done but not limited to. New clutch assemblyFoot pegsNew dynamo 12v (Doug Wood) this yearNew magneto (Doug Wood) this yearWired the bikeRebuilt carbThe overall condition is very good for how old it is and where it had been stored previously. The chrome has a little pitting on the front wheel and lower exhaust. The rest is in excellent condition. The chassis work seems pretty solid. There is a few cracks where bondo has lifted and a few chips that a previous owner has touched up. The seat is light brown and goes real nice with the color of the bike. It is set up to run battery less. It has the period correct dynamo, magneto and Amal carb. The tank is clean. Overall it is a very nice bike that I wish I had the patience to finish. I have put the bike together to where it can be completed very easily. I have had the bike running for a few minutes from time to time. I was unable to get it to idle. While I was trying to get it to idle it died on me and would not start. After checking it over turns out I did not have the rear pushrods in correctly and they are not making contact with the rocker arms. So at the least it will need the intake vales/pushrods installed and adjusted. I never had it running long enough to know if the timing is correct but it is real close. Every time I started the bike it only took a few kicks and never kicked back. The carb leaks even though I have rebuilt it. A Mikuni would probably be best on it. I have shifted it through the gears several times and it appears to be fine. Somebody with a little more patience than me should be able to get this running and riding in no time if everything else is okay. I am at a point I do not want to spend any more money or time on this bike. Some attention will need to be spent on the kickstand as it is the original and the bike leans a lot on it. It did not come with a title. It will be sold with a bill of sale only and NO TITLE. It has no front fender, no turn signals and the front brake is not hooked up.
