1959 BMW R26 recent restoration with matching numbers. The paint is flawless. Whatever imperfections you see in the photos are reflections. I've owned this bike for 25 years. I bought it from the original owner, although I sold it to a friend of mine a couple of years back and he started restoration on it but was never able to complete it. I got the bike back a few months ago and finished the restoration. It has about 125 miles since completion. With the low original mileage on the bike, the lower end of the engine, the transmission and the differential are in great condition. I did replace all the gaskets and seals and the top end of the engine was honed and the rings were replaced. Also, the valves were lightly ground. It starts, runs and rides great. The transmission and clutch are excellent. Everything works except the horn which recently quit working. I do not have the key for the steering lock. I bought as many German parts as I could, including a new complete Denfeld solo seat. All of the cad plating was redone. There is some stainless, mainly on the fenders and tank. The tires and tubes are new and the spokes are stainless. I have a shop manual, parts manual and a few spare parts to go with the bike. Clear, clean Nevada title.
