Wow - maybe I should block bidders that have less that 10 feedback - nothing but problems with this last guy. 1983 diesel water cooled Vanagon with Westfalia interior. I don't believe this was a Weekender but it seems similar to that model. Engine has been replaced with matching 1.6 L non-turbo diesel. See videos for operating condition. May want to swap engine to a large turbo model, AHU or 1Z engine? I can deliver to pick-up point a short distance from my house. Compression was tested and came out to to 400 psi in all cylinders. Injection pump could not be timed so needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Recommend bringing a trailer because you will probably get a ticket for the black smoke. Original paint. Very little rust- one small spot behind driver side rear wheel, one area at bottom of passenger side back window (see photos). Undercarriage photos show that there is no rust underneath. Wheel well photos show there is no rust around the wheels except noted above. Owners and shop manuals. Glass all good. Excellent roof rack. Drives, goes and stops, I drove it home last year. Not a pop top so no issues with the mechanism or canvas to deal with. Issues: Clear coat is rubbing off Injection pump needs repair/replace. Ignition switch in steering column is bad. A new ignition switch is hot wired in (see photo). Bumpers. Couple turn signals. Stereo to be hooked up. Sliding door missing outside handle. Some of the foam pad cloth is torn but most is good. Roof rack key is missing. Visors over windscreen are a little rough. The first buyer was a local guy, he and his wife came to my house and saw my mom's Toyota Dolphin that was also for sale, they fell in love with it and bought it instead. The second buyer never once contacted me, Ebay name is "saeylan-0" so watch out for him or her. Rear bench folds down into a bed, see it in one photo. The chair that sits behind and between the driver and passenger seat is removable, in fact it is not fixed down. The clutch works well. The transmission sounds good. Numerous cabinets that have good working doors and latches. Lots of storage. If you have other questions or want to see photos of particular parts let me know I'll see what can do in the time left. I drove it a couple miles, then I trailered it a local shop. The van will drive up on a trailer just fine. The mechanic drove it around the block. He said the cost for him to do the pump was $900 to $1200. My zip is 97229 if you need to figure out what getting it shipped costs.
