If he can't sell today, he will have no choice but to scrap tomorrow :( THE DETAILS: 1) First, the bad news: a) MECHANICAL i) The transmission is starting to have slippage issues. ii) The sway bar link may be broken. iii) Oh, and the battery may need a jump since its been sitting for a little while. b) COSMETIC i) The grill and mirror have some damage. ii) Oh, and I did mention that he is a young father, right? I think he needs to clean some things out of the interior. 2) The good news: a) MECHANICAL i) The car was still drivable, last known. He just parked it when he got a more reliable vehicle. ii) High miles (250k), but mostly highway and service was maintained reliably during ownership - oil changes, etc. b) COSMETIC i) BLACK LEATHER seats! ii) Sunroof! iii) So much mod/upgrade potential here! iv) I'd buy it myself if he wasn't ditching it so fast!! c) FINANCIAL i) Kelley Blue Book value for a vehicle without air conditioning or any extras (I wasn't sure, so didn't add), even with the mileage and the fair condition is still $767. And I shorted that to give the fairest estimate possible. THIS IS A DEAL, GUYS. First $500 bones gets it. He is working now, but I could get keys from him so you could look at it now - IF YOU ARE SERIOUS!!
