Here we go this is the real deal 1970 torino cobra 429, C code(non ram air,shaker) Super cobra jet drag pack torino cobra. Complete drivetrain is here Nodular rear end(31 spline), R servo cast iron tail shaft and matching number block is bare and out of the car! Not too many of these are going to come out of the woodwork anymore this is quite the find. Looking at the marti report this is the rarest combination made with only 59 produced with non ram air and c6 scj cars. We have a clean title in our names and this car is ready to be restored. This car runs and drives although its a bit scary. Its quick but needs went through. The block in the car is a 69 Lincoln 460 fitted with the original D0ER heads and original intake manifold. This car had a cheap paint job put on it years back and unfortunately it does have a decent amount of rust originally being a New York car. The quarters and outer wheel wells need replaced as does the driver front torque I suspect. The passenger torque can be patched I believe. The trunk is actually pretty solid only needing a couple small patches and probable drop downs. The floor pans are going to need some patches but the are in pretty good condition really. The rear torque boxes are in good shape as is the front of the car and the cowl. This car was a drag car for most of its life it has sub frame connectors and some old school tricks installed. The front rails were cut to make these fit correctly. The rockers will need some attention to mostly from a PO cutting for wheel clearance. Please look at the marti not only is this a 4.30 W code axle but its also a DETROIT LOCKER per marti and that makes this even rarer. The medium ivy green paint combined with the ginger bucket interior was also very rare.
