1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible · Same owner for the last 26 years! · Just found after years of storage! · Runs and drives! · NO RESERVE! Highest bidder owns it! So here’s the story. I just took this Thunderbird in trade on a Mercedes from a elderly gentleman who has had it sitting for years in his garage. I want to start by saying I am not an authority on these cars and will do my best to answer any questions you may have. From what I was told he purchased the car approximately 25 years ago and used it very little since. The Thunderbird was restored some time in the early 80’s. After I pulled it out of storage and drained gas and cleaned carburetor it started right up. I replaced the master cylinder and was able to take it for a ride. It seems to run well for not doing anything else. This car needs to be purchased with the mindset that it will need a restoration but as the pictures show it is very nice and original. I consider this a great candidate to bring back to its original glory. The interior is very nice, the upholstery is in amazing shape. The car has power windows that work as do all the lights. However it wouldn’t take much to make it a nice driver. The body has some signs of old body work. A few paint blisters and some rust bubbles on rockers. The top doesn’t go down but the hydraulics for Tourneau cover all work. The underneath looks good a few spots look as though the were repaired and need to be re-done . As I hope you can tell I am trying to be very clear and honest. Please all I ask is be realistic. This car is going to need some work but has excellent potential.
