I've owned this beautiful 914 for 6 years, Every spring I do something to upgrade the car. The pictures tell the story, it's a gorgeous car, One of the 2 best colors for a 914, Factory Marathon Blue Metallic which really pops in the sunlight. Park it anywhere and this car gets attention wherever it goes.Always garage kept < 1k miles each year. No track days.Strong 170 bhp 2260cc Raby Air cooled Technology motor with Webers - lot's of great noise and speed, and YES faster than a 914-6. no oil leaks! This car is mechanically very, very well sorted, there's nothing major that has not been replaced, seriously from wheel bearings to cables. Runs and drives like you want a 914 to drive. Engine; Raby's Air cooled Technology RAT 2270 built for 914 application. Blueprinted and Balanced, cryogenically treated internal components. 156 ft-lb / 158 bhp @ 5200 RPM; 170 BHP Peak I have a sheet somewhere to prove it... ~< 5k miles not raced or AutoX. New complete front window trim comes with car worth $300.Original chrome front light covers Lots of spare parts and gaskets.Things I did not get to: Although it looks runs, drives and looks like it, I could not ask $20k+ for this car due to some small issues, there's a rust spot behind the passenger rear light inthe usual 914 place. Everything else looks fine, No rust hell hole/battery tray area issues, this has been cleaned, treated and painted nicely, very solid floor pans, sills etc. for whatever reason the Jacking points have been removed. A slight rust bulge is showing through at the lower front fender, by the door. Needs a Bodymans touch to be perfect. Although they look great, the fenders were not installed properly, original fenders were not cut back all the way, it didn't bother me at the time as I was going to replace with steel but I don't have the time anymore. Tire clearance is not an issue and they do look great. Paint chip on side of front hood, small tear (1/2") in drivers seat - see last three pics for the issues. I'm being honest about these points as I don't want to waste anyone's time or mine, it does need a little more work to be perfect but right now it looks absolutely awesomeand runs fantastic. Hell almost everything on this is new !!If your in the market for something that is almost perfect and mechanically top notch, this is a seriously great 914.
