2000 BMW R1100RT RUNNING PROJECT BIKE This bike is an ex-CHIPS bike we bought in 2005. The bike was all black when we bought it. It had been painted previously. The paint is in very good condition. The overall physical condition of the bike is excellent. There seem to be no cracks in any of the plastics. The seat has no tears. The tires are in good condition. Everything electronic seems to work. My father rode this a number of times at various bike weeks. He put a couple thousand miles on it. He added the rear luggage compartment which is a factory BMW tour pack. He also added a Laser Exhaust and Techlusion fuel module. After one bike week, several years ago, he loaded the bike and headed home. When it was loaded it was running fine. When he went to unload it the bike had developed and oil pressure problem. At idle the bike has a slight tick and the oil light stays on or flickers some times. If you increase the throttle the light goes out. He no longer has a desire to ride this and I have no desire to try and fix it. So this one will be sold AS-IS with an oil problem. The bike had been sitting for a few years since the oil problem. The fuel pump had gone bad from sitting. I have replaced the fuel pump/filter and lines in the tank to get it running. This was recently done. It starts every time and goes through the gears. The ABS works. The bike is really a sharp bike but has the one problem. I do not know what is causing this problem. Again the bike is being sold AS-IS with a mechanical problem. See video below.
