1967 Mustang Coupe 289 Automatic Up for sale at a NO RESERVE auction is a 1967 Mustang coupe with a 289 V8 engine coupled to an automatic transmission. Please understand that I bought the car in its current condition and have added a few items to complete the cosmetics. A lot of work has been done which I will list as I go through the description. I will start with the exterior of the car and work my way round and explain as much as I can. The exterior of the car has been repainted - not sure when, but was not too long ago,shows well, and I think the original color was green.The chrome work all round is decent with some weathering showing on the outside door handles and the back bumper. Front bumper is new. Most of the badges are new. Car comes with brand new wheels and tires - I do not have the original wheels. The interior has been redone with a new carpet and floor mats and dash and seats in excellent condition. The two front seats appear to have come out of a 69 with the high backs - not 100 percent sure. All the gauges are there but not all work which are the battery DC gauge and the temperature gauge. Two new aftermarket gauges have been installed which are the temperature and and oil pressure gauge next to the emergency brake. I did install an aftermarket Mustang repro. radio which does not work and will explain why? The first one I installed never worked. Sent it back for a refund. Order the same from another supplier - installed it - never worked. Sent it now to the distributor who have tech. support. They inspected the unit and said they could not find any issues and sent it back to me. I installed it again and still did not work. So I am done. Who ever buys the car can deal with them. I do have a warranty which I will supply.I also do not have the original steering wheel. Mechanically the car runs and drives great. It does look like the engine was done recently only judging from the new gaskets - so not sure but starts right up, no leaks and does not smoke.Transmission shifts smooth. Car does have power steering but no power brakes. Also appears to have had a/c at some stage - only some piping left through the firewall on passenger side.I do not have the original air cleaner.The exhausts has been shortened and stops before the differential with mufflers so it is not very noisy actually quite tame. Car is rust free and comes with black original California plates. The mileage reads around 53000 but is five digit and so I cannot verify the accuracy. Appreciate the fact that the car is nearly fifty years old and has not  been completely restored so there are a few blemishes and is not perfect. This is a really nice 67 - gets lots of looks and thumbs up. Please remember this is a NO RESERVE auction so highest bidder wins. PLEASE do not bid if you are not serious.
