1983 diesel water cooled Vanagon with Westfalia cabinets and such. Engine has been replaced with matching 1.6 L non-turbo diesel. See videos for operating condition. Took it to local VW shop. The compression tested out to 400 psi in all cylinders so the engine is solid but injection pump could not be timed so needs to be rebuilt. With the injection pump fixed this is ready to roll. I've driven is a little but it's very gutless as-is, also smokes due to injection pump timing. Original paint. No rust, maybe one small spot, but this is virtually a rust free van, spent much of its life in Arizona. Owners and shop manuals. Glass all good. Excellent roof rack. Issues: Some clear coat is rubbing off Injection pump needs repair. Ignition switch repair. Bumpers. Couple turn signals. Stereo to be hooked up. Sliding door missing handle. Some of the foam pad cloth is torn but most is good. Some lights don't work, one signal needs replacing.
