1975 CB400F survivor! This bike is in extremely nice condition and probably the nicest unrestored used CB400F you will ever find. It has had three owners and originally came from Iowa where it belonged to a student who attended the University of Iowa. The original 1975 and 1976 parking stickers are still on the headlight bucket. Everything on this motorcycle is original factory Honda with the exception of the battery, which has been upgraded to a lithium ion unit for increased reliability. As well as the exhaust, which is a NOS Honda OEM unit. Originally the first owner had fitted a Yoshimura performance exhaust to it but it was removed at some point. The tires were obviously changed due to safety reasons and it has a new set of Michelin vintage style tires on it. Other than that everything is factory and original. This bike starts right up first kick or first push of the electric start button. All functions work great. It starts, runs, rides, and stops like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The tank is absolutely spotless inside and has no rust, varnish, or any aftermarket coating inside. It has only received ethanol free fuel since the new E10 gas has been introduced. There are no leaks or mechanical issues of any kind with this motorcycle. The original tool kit and owners manual are under the seat and the key is original Honda as well. The tank does have a couple small dings and scratches and the hubs of the wheels could use a polish if you are looking for something spotless. I would rate this bike a strong 8.5/9 out of 10. Again this motorcycle has nearly 10,000 miles on it and you just do not find them in this kind of condition. This is first year production for the CB400F and the VIN is extremely low. It is CB400F-10015xx and they went all the way up to CB400F-1038492 for that year. The engine serial number is within very close range to the VIN to be considered matching numbers. I purchased this motorcycle for my father as a present but he has shown less interest in it than I expected. I would like to see it go to a new home where it would better belong.
