Vehicle Detail

This is a very solid 1971 Corvette. The front upper and lower a-arms have been rebuilt with new bushing and it also has new tie-rods and rear shocks, rear spring bushings and rear adjustable links. Tires are in very nice shape with lots of tread. The Corvette was repainted at some point to red as it was originally war bonnet yellow. The body in in great shape and still retains all of the original bonding strips. Looks like there was an old small repair on the passenger front fender edge (about 3”) and a small spot above the passenger rear bumper. You can see how the paint is flaking up in these areas. The red paint has various chips and scratches throughout the body. The doors all shut great and the gaps are all very nice. The headlights also line up very well and are fully operational. The frame is very solid and has been cleaned and painted with POR15. All the AC components are there and the compressor turns freely. The seats have been recovered some time ago in original leather style seat covers which has no tears but some light wear but no tears or holes. It has excellent shape door panels I have driven it about 250 miles and it drives great It still has the original engine (Intake, heads and block). Under the valve covers it is very clean and I would think it was rebuilt at one time. It has an updated HEI distributor so the factory tach does not function but it does work if you want to change to a gear drive HEI distributor. This is probable the best braking C3 corvette I have owned. It has new stainless steel O-Ring front Calipers (not the lip style that always leak), new front rotors, new master cylinder. Many new brake lines and fresh brake fluid. The engine has all new belts, water pump, alternator, radiator hoses, clamps and battery Options; C60 Air Conditioning J50 Power Brakes M40 Turbo-Hydro-matic Automatic Transmission N40 Power Steering 270 HP 350 ci Engine Originally 989 War Bonnet Yellow with 417 Saddle Vinyl I have a small collection of cars and have collected cars for the last 20 years. I have bought many cars on EBay over the years that looked and sounded good but when I got them I was surprised by some obvious defects that were never disclosed. A few times cars come in looking better than I thought. I know this is the risk you take buying sight unseen over the internet. Unfortunately many sellers and dealers will just post tons of pictures without saying a word about the condition of the car. I believe to grow the hobby of collecting cars you need more than a lot of pictures. You need to describe the condition the best you can. I try to point out any obvious things that I would like to know about if I was buying a car sight unseen. I am sure I may miss something small but I welcome anyone to come and inspect my cars or have a 3rd party come and inspect them before you bid. If there is anything you would like a picture of just send me an email and I will take it for you. Please ask all questions before the auction ends. Thanks For looking.
