The Second-generation Z/28 Camaro's represent lots of fun for not a lot of cash. The disco era performance cars got a bad rap based on comparisons to the early 60 supercars. Well don't believe the Hype , these cars will run keep up with any small block car and then actually stop and take a curve so well you will be amazed!

This Z features a strong-running small block, The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8 with 4-bolt mains, An Edelbrock intake manifold painted stealthy factory GM blue with a Rebuilt Q- jet 4-barrel carburetor that lays waste to the misconception that these 70's cars offer less than stellar performance. This has to be the best running Q-jet car I have driven. Equipped with Hooker Competition headers with true dual exhaust that gives a great sound. The engine bay is detailed in Day "2" Period correct with LT-1 Style Valve covers and with matching open element chrome air cleaner. The TH 350 3-speed automatic transmission has quick reflexes and can bark in 2nd gear at will. The 3.42 rear gears give great acceleration and pleasant highway cruising.

The Z/28 F-41 suspension with power front disc brakes and fast ratio power steering give excellent feel and modern style performance that will shock the naysayers that these Disco "Z" cars don't perform. The Z/28 had the Trans am covered in performance even with the small block, but a comparable T/A would cost twice what we are asking for this Z/28.

The interior is in good condition with the original Z/28 Rope steering wheel taking center stage. The seats ,Door panels, carpet and upholstery are in good condition and comfortable. the weather stripping is soft & pliable. The dash features an aftermarket Sony Stereo and an aux Oil Pressure Gauge. The Speedo is currently not working. Everything else works at this time. The optional Console is in decent condition and the glove box actually hinge actually opens.

This Camaro has a very solid body with what appears to be original body panels. The usual rust spots like rear window, trunk header, rear quarters and trunk & Floor pans are solid and sound.

The paint is an older repaint of the factory 61 Code and has held up pretty well. It appears to have been a proper paint job & holds a nice shine. There are some chips and nicks that have been touched up over the years like any car that has been driven. It shows well and gathers attention wherever it goes. Definitely better than a "five footer" and driver quality. The stripes appear OEM and have held up well with some nicks on the chin spoiler. There were evidence of some small blisters evident on lower left front fender but they have been sanded and touched up.

New BFG TA Radials on very nice stock Z/28 Wheels complete the look and give the car an aggressive stance and complete the period look. This car was originally optioned with Air Conditioning. All the A/C lines and wiring are still present and the brackets and compressor are included as well as the original Air Cleaner and replacement side stripes.

All in all this is a very nice starter classic that you could use daily. I have been using it as my demo daily and am very impressed with the surprising performance and how comfortable this car is in modern traffic conditions. This is a well thought out build that is happy to rumble through bumper to bumper traffic with the temp gauge steady @ 180 degrees, then keep up with modern performance cars on the highway or back-roads.
