Today I have a 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD. It has 185,531 miles and is in fair condition. It is not rusted at all! It also has almost new tires on it. With a little work it would make a great 4Runner and last years to come.
Mechanical
The 4runner drives great down the road. The transmission shifts perfect and the suspension is super tight and solid. The brakes are also good. The engine starts and runs fine but does sound like the valves need to be adjusted. The check engine light is on for a knock sensor(p0325). I’m not sure if this could have something to do with the valve tick or not. I have driven it about 30 miles and haven’t had issues issues and it has’t gotten any worse. The timing belt has been changed and I cannot make out when but it says the next one is due at 2xx,xxx. The Ac is ice cold.
Interior
The interior is in fair condition. The driver side seat has a few tears and the passenger side from has 1- see pics. The rest of the seats are perfect. All power options work in the car other than the sunroof. I did pull a motor from another one I have to confirm it is 100% the sunroof motor. The air conditioning as stated earlier is ice cold and it has an aftermarket CD player.
Exterior
The exterior of the 4Runner is in fair condition. There aren’t any dents or rust but the clear coat is peeling or faded on the entire top of the vehicle-roof and hood- see pics. The Frame is not rotted out and is Excellent -SEE PiCS. It’s better than a lot of 04’s & up I see. The tires have lots of tread on them.
**Warranty**
A C.A.R.S. Warranty can be purchased for $150 on any vehicle over $2,000.00. It Covers the Engine , Transmission, Driveshafts for 3 Months / 4,500 Miles.
**SHIPPING & Pick-up**
I will ship the vehicle anywhere but the buyer must arrange Transport. The vehicle must be picked up within 7 days unless you have contacted me and made other arrangements. I will also not deliver the vehicle but am willing to assist in anyway possible but must contact me before auction ends.
**Payment**
Cash is preferred payment. Certified checks & Money orders are also accepted. Wire transfers are accepted for any type of purchase with a $25 fee added. I will not accept personal checks.
**Please contact me with any questions. Anyone is welcome to come and look at the car. Keep in mind That I am not a shop trained mechanic or ASE certified mechanic. I am more than happy to look at something specific on the car for you and do any tests you would require.
**There is a $130 Administrative fee added to every auction. A $300 deposit is required within the first 72 hrs of the end of auction. All taxes, registration, title work, and notary work is not included. I use a local notary which can provide transport tags and anything else needed for the vehicle. **
