Vehicle Detail

Here is an absolutely perfect BMW R50/2. Bike is flawless and looks like it just came off the assembly line. Every cable, bolt and nut is perfect including paint throughout the bike and frame. Not a single knick or scratch. Triple matching numbers bike. Truly a collectors bike. Put it in a museum or ride it daily. 1960's BMW's are the best. This bike always starts on the first kick and leaks no oil. Always garaged, covered and well cared for. Total frame off restoration and engine rebuild was completed in June 2012. Complete wheels and tires were rebuilt by Jeff Moore at Vintage Sales and Restorations along with the re-chrome of the exhaust. The bike has been serviced regularly at Irv Seaver BMW here in Orange, CA. Even Bell and Tom Tohal at Irv Seaver BMW are vintage BMW experts. I have all the receipts and work orders. I've put approx. 800 to 1,000 miles on the bike since the restoration. Bike was entered into the Vintage Bike of Orange County competition where it won't first place out of 100 bikes. Here is the link: www.vintagebikeoc.com/bikeofthemonth/sep13 Bike includes the front windshield and custom 1966 CA license plate. Bike has clear title and is registered as a 1966 BMW in my name. Per Julia Oberndorfer at BMW Archives in Germany “Engine number belongs to a BWM R 50/2 which was manufactured on February 28, 1966 and delivered on March 8, 1966 to the BMW dealer Glockler in Frankfurt, Germany”. If you want additional pictures or even a video please contact me. I have several dozen photos of the restoration. Bike is available to view, inspect and ride here in Newport Beach, CA. On Apr-02-16 at 08:24:09 PDT, seller added the following information: On 4/2/16 I found seven (7) similar vintage BMW's for sale. I included them in the photos and they are selling for $38,500, $31,000, $30,000, $19,900, $27,999, $30,000 and $25,000. The reserve is set at half the cost of these bikes! I will ship the bike worldwide. On Apr-09-16 at 09:04:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Question:Highest I've ever seen one sell for was a bike done by world renowned restoration expert Tim Stafford, it sold for 22k. Where are you quoting these comps from? Answer: My neighbor sold the bike you are referring to 4 years ago. I saw that bike, rode it and even tried to buy it. This BMW is just as nice. While Tim Stafford is probably the best, those who worked on this bike are a close second. That R60/2 sold for $22,500 4 years ago in a bad economy. Regarding the comps, search BMW on eBay and Cycle Trader right now. $38,500, $31,000, $30,000, $19,900, $27,999, $30,000 and $25,000. I have photos and links to these and would be happy to send them to you.
