Vehicle Detail

THIS IS A NICE LOOKING TRIUMPH THAT NEEDS TLC. IT DOES NOT RUN WELL. NEEDS A TUNE UP OR MORE. SOLD AS IS- FIXER UPPER. This bike needs help. It does not idle well. The idle seems to get rougher after it gets warm. It is sold as is. I have an out of state title for this which is not in my name. You can take a look at it in the final photos. It has antique license plates issued for this. It does smoke on the left side out the rear tail pipe. It does start up. Don't buy this if you are going to be unhappy later. I only want to sell this one time. It seems to have been garaged. The body is nice. It's not banged up. I do not know what the true mileage is. The exhaust pipes are nice. The tank paint is coming off and starting to bubble where the petcock is connected. I do not know how hard this will be for you to get registered and I do not know what fees need to be paid. So take all of this into consideration. I am helpful if you want to have this shipped to you. You have to arrange it but I will be helpful. I rode this in the hills for about 20 minutes. It had lots of power but the idle is lousy. It does smoke some out the left side exhaust pipe and it does leak a little bit of oil. I am selling this as a fixer. It's a 40 year old triumph and I am not a mechanic. I do not know what this is going to take. All I can say is it sure feels nice to sit on. The seat looks decent. No dents in the tank. The chrome looks pretty decent. My gut feeling is by looking at the title that somebody put some money into this 4 years ago and I don't know what happened later. While it does not run well I have to say this is quite most comfortable to sit on. It's not tall off the ground like new bikes are today. I took it in the hills about a month ago and it had quite a bit of power but it doesn't always run right and seems to run worse when it gets warmed up. The brakes and suspension seem to be ok on this. Tires look ok on this. Not everyone knows how to fix triumphs. I do not know what you are in for in repairs for this. I am starting this at a fair price. If you follow triumph motorcycles on ebay I have noticed that most of the sellers have no feedback for past motorcycle sales. I have sold several bikes and some cars on ebay if you look back. I always got positives. No test rides. I am not insured and I am too old to push this home. It's a big boy. I do not know what your exposure is going to be for repairs and cost of registration. I tried to start this low enough so all is fair. Don't buy this if you are going to be unhappy later. On Mar-30-16 at 19:17:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to make something clear about the title. It is the state of Arkansas. It has an antique issue license plate. I do have the hard copy title. It is signed off in the back with the same owners name that is listed in the front of the title. Also has his printed name and printed address. Also the mileage is noted which was 14,140. Everything else is blank and needs to be filled in. The buyers printed name and signature is open or blank. Take a look at the title in final photos. I am not sure what hardships or extra fees you may endure (if any) with registration. In the past this was acceptable in my state but I have not registered anything in ten years. I like giving full disclosure so you do get mad later. If this is a concern to you why not call up your DMV and ask them what is my exposure here. I do not allow test rides. I live in lawsuit Hollywood paradise and don't want any risk. At the minimum this bike needs a major tune up. My assumption is that it ran decent 4 years ago since it seems pretty fixed up. The speedometer seems to be not that much more than it was signed off on the back of the title. This is only my guess. I have been riding motorcycles since 1970. In the past having a title like this was good enough but I do not know what is going on today. If you cannot take risk on this not hoping to turn out as good as you hoped please avoid this sale. I would not have bought this bike myself it did not look pretty decent. I am also picky. I thought the brake system looked pretty clean as well as the fenders, forks, wheels, seat, tank, exhaust and fenders. It looked like a pretty tight bike.
