After a very long ownership I have decided to sell my 1977 Cobra II. I purchased this car in 1983 from a family member and I believe he was the original owner. The car was built in 7/77, starting its service with a lucky triple 7. The car has been stored in my garage since 2002 and during that time it has only been driven twice, and those were each less than 1/2 mile. It will need some work as you would expect from a car that has been out of service for some time, but it does run and can drive onto a trailer. It has a mis-fire most of the time that could be attributed to almost anything related to sitting for so long. It still has the original spark plug wires marked "1978". The brakes seem to work ok too. I have started it several times a year during its storage. The engine is a stock 302 / 5.0L with the original 2 barrel carburetor. The transmission is a four speed manual. The louvers and spoilers are the original OEM Ford items. Being a late 1977 build, it originally had the bold 1978 Cobra stripe package in red/orange. I have included one photo from a number of years ago to show the original color scheme. The car was painted solid black in 1993. There is a small rust spot behind the drivers rear wheel, and surface rust around some of the trim and the right door handle. The carpet is torn in a few places, and the dash pad is cracked. The tires are dry rotted and the original Uniroyal spare is on the left front for this reason. I have an extra stock lacy spoke rim that goes with the car. The car is in decent shape for its age I suppose. Someone could spend a relatively small amount of money and have a nice driver. The car is located in Roanoke, VA.
