Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 2012 Callaway Suburban Sport Truck. This was originally ordered as a corporate vehicle by the previous owner. I am the second owner. When finished, the purchase price of this truck exceeded $84,000.00. Callaway is known for their transformations to the Chevrolet Corvette but in 2012, they began to "Powerfully Engineer" the Chevrolet Suburban. They took the stock 5.3L 320BHP engine and transformed it into a 450BHP beast. They claim the Suburban will go from 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and run the quarter mile in 15.1 seconds @ 95 mph. While I've never attempted to verify this, I will easily take them at their word. For speed enthusiasts, those numbers do not impress but remember, its a Suburban. Callaway has a longstanding relationship with Chevrolet and there are dealers all over the country that sell and service Callaway vehicles. You can check the Callaway website to see if there is a dealer near you. I've owned a Suburban for the past 14 years and this is by far the best I've ever driven. The interior is virtually unchanged from stock save for a Callaway badge on the dash and embroidered head rests and floor mats. The difference is all in the driving experience. If you need the practicality of a large SUV, why not get one you can have some fun with. For such a large and heavy truck, it really moves. One of my concerns about the Callaway motors was longevity. I wondered how long a modified 5.3L motor would last. I met up with one of Callaway's Dealer Reps and he was driving a 2010 Callaway Corvette (602 bhp) that had over 200K miles on the motor. That was enough for me. He told me if properly maintained, 200K on one of their motors was a breeze. I'm selling this truck as I no longer need a large SUV. This Suburban is in good condition and does show normal wear and tear. There is a cluster of chips in the paint on the front left bumper and on the front hood. I recently spoke with a local body shop and they said to paint the bumper and fix the chips and scratches would run about $600. Worth noting this is not the cheapest shop in my area. The wheels have a couple of chips in them as well (see pictures). The guys at Callaway put me in touch with an outfit they use to repair them but I haven't contacted them yet. Everything on this truck operates as it should and it runs really well. After I purchased the truck, I purchased a full set of Weather Tech mats for the entire truck. I also installed an OEM center console in the second row. The Callaway floor mats were cleaned and put away and have not been used. They are pristine (sorry, no pics). Vehicle is being sold "AS IS" and no warranty is provided. Payment Terms: I DO NOT have title in hand for this truck. The bank has it. I will need about two weeks from the purchase date and receipt of deposit to have title in hand. Once I have a commitment and receive your deposit, I will pay off the loan and then it's about two weeks to receive the title. For this reason, I am only asking for a good faith deposit of $500. It's not a scam, I am just choosing not to lay out the funds to pay off the vehicle until I have a buyer. If you have concerns about this, please contact me to discuss. I will assist the buyer with shipping but the buyer is responsible for arranging for any shipping necessary. I have two sets of keys and all owners documents. This will be the last time I list the truck for sale. If it doesn't sell, I am going to trade it in for the vehicle I want. Once a dealer gets the truck, it will only be more expensive to buy it as they will not sell it for the price I am looking for. Thanks for looking! Steve
