This is a NO RESERVE auction so it will sell regardless of price. Bidding will start at $1 and the high bidder will be the new owner (please don't bid unless you are a serious buyer - I put it on here to sell). This a nice original 1940 Nash Lafayette Six 4010 Series Trunkback 4 Door Sedan (117" Wheelbase) with Suicide Doors and 6 Cylinder Flathead (L-Head) Engine in good shape. Engine runs nice and drives down the road ok. Older restoration. All original metal. Paint is nice but does have some minor flaws. Chrome and emblems are in decent condition for the most part. Front left bumper guard missing. Grill has 2 fins missing (see photos). Floor under drivers feet has some rust and in a few other minor spots in the floor. No major structural rust. Original interior - seats are decent with a couple rips/holes, headliner is ok with a couple mouseholes above the visor and some discoloring, lower door panel fabric is a bit tattered. Rear seat back flips up to get at the trunk area. Doors open and close nice. Windows work good and the glass is original and decent shape for its age. Most of the gauges work. Lights not working. Generator works good. Heater works. Original 6 volt electrical system. Starts and runs good (could use a carb kit though). Brakes work. Exhaust is complete to the back and is very quiet. Whitewall tires are in decent condition. Spare holds air. Owners manual included. All and all, it's about as nice an original '40 Nash as you're going to find. Keep in mind that it is a 75 year old mostly original car that does have a few flaws though. I can store for a while as long as its paid for right away. Pick it up whenever you're ready.
