Hello, I am auctioning off my rare 1996 Taurus SHO. PLEASE READ ENTIRE AUCTION BEFORE BIDDING. THE CAR STARTS BUT IT IS NOT RUNNING. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU PLAN ON PURCHASING THE CAR. IF THE CAR RAN IT WOULD BE SELLING FOR MUCH MORE THAN WHAT I AM ASKING HERE. BELIEVE ME THIS CAR IS WORTH IT.NOTE: I am having to relist the car because the winner backed out because they didn't read the entire listing. The car is inoperable at this time because of an issue with the Trans and possibly the Motor. I have explained in more detail of what occurred the day it broke down at the very bottom of this listing. Please read all info below.Unfortunately I broke down on this last Christmas Day. All of the Transmission fluid leaked out and the car wouldn’t move. I believe it is a broken Trans Cooler line. At the very same time, I heard a noise coming from the motor. I didn't have the time and couldn't afford to deal with the Transmission issue and/or sort out whatever maybe up with the Motor. These issues could be very simple to remedy, I don't know. Up until Christmas Day the car ran perfectly and without any issues. I drove it every day for work and I averaged about 40 miles per day. It was my only source of transportation.I am the 2nd owner. This SHO is in Beautiful and Very Rare condition for its age. 3.4L V8 w/AX4N automatic trans. Silver Frost Paint with Gray Leather Interior. Fully Loaded with Moonroof. You will be amazed that this car is almost 20 years old. 75,466 original miles. Motor only has 51K miles on it. Motor was rebuilt at 24K miles due to camshaft gear separation which was common for these cars. The Cams were welded at 38K miles in California by a well known and respected mechanic in the SHO world so that issue will never happen again. The 3.4 L V8 is a very good high revving engine. The motor was built in the Cosworth process. The heads are built by Yamaha and the motor was assembled by Yamaha. Most of these 3.4 V8's will go beyond 200K miles. The car is very fast. I have taken great care of this car and I have spent more than $10,000 above the purchase price on bringing her to a level far better than new. I purchased the car about 3 years ago with 36K miles on it. I bought it in Florida down near Miami, I replaced the tires and drove it to Las Vegas, Nevada with no issues. The car was in great condition but it is even better now. It is very tight and solid with no noises in the drive train or suspension. It rides better than new with even better handling. Exterior and Interior are in amazing condition.Exterior is 8 out of 10. Interior is 9 out of 10. The seats, dash and the rest of the interior have no rips or excessive wear. No cracks in or on the the dash. Interior is immaculate. Body and Paint is in great condition. Paint is original and still looks new. There are a few dings on the right front door and some scratches on the bumpers. When the car was towed home on Christmas Day, the truck driver must have pulled on the drivers side of the front bumper slightly when it came off of the flatbed and it cracked the paint on that side of the bottom portion of the bumper. Its not too bad. See photos. The front and rear bumpers could use fresh paint anyway.Everything is in great working order other than the current Trans and Motor issue. I only use 5W-30 Synthetic Oil and the oil was changed every 3k to 4k miles. This is the list of modifications, aftermarket and factory parts that have been installed within the last 2-1/2 years. I have the majority of the receipts covering the parts and labor. • 3rd Cat Removed.• Custom Stainless Steel 2-1/4" catback exhaust system.• Larger aftermarket stainless tips. (great sound)• Cross Drilled Front & Rear Rotors.• Ceramic Brake Pads.• Welded Camshafts (this is a known issue among these vehicles so it was taken care of)• New Coils.• New Motorcraft Plugs.• New Radiator• New Radiator Hoses (I have new set of extra hoses for the future).• New Starter.• New Alternator.• New Motor Mounts.• New rear subframe bushings installed. I also have in hand New front subframe bushings.• I have a New rear main Seal in hand.• B&M SuperCooler Trans Cooler.• Custom made Trans hard lines. • Underdrive Crank Pulley from Ford Performance Specialists w/special size Goodrich serpentine belt.• K&N filter.• New Ingalls Rear Tubular Link Arms.• New Rear Trailing Arm bushings.• New Front Lower Control Arms.• New Front Sway Bar Links.• New Rear Sway Bar Links.• Moog front lower ball joints.• New inner and outer tie rods.New Empi Axles Shafts. • New Front Wheel Hubs w/bearings.• New Front Custom coils-Lowered 1.75 in. Front. Nice Stance. I typically put a lot of weight in the trunk so there was no need to lower the rear.• Rear OEM coils - KUM code.• New KYB sr4034 plus Struts front ( I have the factory front and rear SARC struts and sensors) SARC=Semi-Active Ride Control.• New KYB sr4033 plus Struts rear.• Moog front alignment camber plates.• 24mm front Larger Sway Bar. Oem was 21mm.• 26mm rear Larger Sway Bar. Oem was 19mm.• TPR Performance Anti-sway bar Bushing set (24mm front/26mm rear).• New Moonroof Rubber Seal (Moonroof works perfectly).• Unique aftermarket Rear Wing (I have the factory skateboard style wing).• Viper Alarm with 2 remotes (1 led response).• Remote Start (great-precool the car in summer and preheat in winter).• IPHONE/IPOD integration 1 plug Lightning cord (play and charge simultaneously).• Internal Antenna on windshield (Factory electric has been disabled but still works fine).• Factory dual climate control with CD player and cd changer in trunk. I have an extra climate control unit in case the original goes out. These are hard to find.• New Turn Signal Switch.• New Windshield and Rear Glass.• Tint all around. Heat Resistant Tint on windshield and rear window.• Clear front side marker lights. (I have 2 more).• Mustang front lip spoiler.• New Headlight housings with Kensun 6000K HID HEADLIGHTS.• New front parking/turn signal housings and bulbs.• 4 - add-on Front LED driving lights.• Husky vehicle specific contoured front floor mats.• Dashmat Suede dash cover.The photos with the black on the hood and roof was plastidip which peals right off. no harm to the paint and paint is fine underneath. It has already been removed from the hood. The car show photos were during this last Halloween 2015 at a local Charity event. THE WHEELS AND TIRES SHOWN ON THE CAR ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION UNLESS YOU PAY AN ADDITIONAL $1700.00. The wheels are 19x8 all around. TSW Jaramas with a 40 offset. Silver Center with Stainless Lip. New Michelin Super Sports 225/40/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. Tires only have 7K miles on them. Wheels are in great condition. Wheels and Tires were originally $2500.00.I have a set of factory 16" Jaguar S-type wheels (see photos) that will be included with the car if you don't want the wheels that are on the car now. the Jaguar wheels have new factory style lugnuts and the tires are in ok condition. Tires are size 225/55/16.I have collected many additional extra interior and engine parts just in case something else in the future needs repair. Car is Sold As Is. Immediately after it happened I tried refilling it and it immediately pored out of the bottom when I turned the car on but for a split second the car attempted to move. I actually went back and found the trail of fluid that went for over a few miles so it began to leak out slowly but the pressure might have burst a cooler line. When I start it I hear a knock but I don't know from where in the motor it is coming from. I immediately shut it off because I don't want to make it worse than it already is. The odd thing is that this knock happened immediately after the Trans went so it doesn't make a lot of sense. The sound could be coming from the Trans.The rest of the car, electronics, cooling, AC, suspension, brakes are all solid and working perfectly. The car is very clean and I pray that the repairs will not be severe. I have always taken very good care of the car. It really is a very nice car. It get compliments all of the time. If I had the room and the cash I would keep it because it was a memory of my parents since it was the same type of car they owned before they past away.If the car needs to be shipped, as an example, I got a quote from Uship online to ship it to Georgia and it was 850.00.
